    Default pm & rep ?

Honestly, I don't know if I have a brain block or what but I have a hard time knowing where to post my questions in the forum. Hope this is the right place. I have a few questions about a couple of things.
    1. Someone sent me a pm and I would just like to know if there is a way to look at a particular persons posts, so I can find what she emailed me about.
    2. I've seen a lot of references to people repping someone on the forum. What does that mean?
    3. I've only done one trade and that person approached me. What do you do? Find someone who has a coupon you want and pm them to initiate a trade.

You can always post in here.

    1. yes, click their member name to go to their profile. then click statistics. you can click view all posts, or view threads started by member.
    2. The rep system is a fun way to say "hey thanks good post" etc.
if you look at any post, the orange section to the left of the post has member name & avatar on the top, little icons on the bottom. the 2nd icon in is a scale. click it. you can then leave a comment for the member. to check them click user CP.
    3. There are quite a few ways to trade. yes you can look in current trades or have lists to see who has things you need and then message that person, but theres other ways too.
You are a trading in training and have access to the TNT forum. http://www.hotcouponworld.com/forums/trader-training/ visit that forums FAQ thread and all of the previously asked questions and answers in there. I think most will help you out quite a bit. Then as you go along you can post your trade questions right in there.

    1. To find a member's posts, click on their screen name and a menu will drop down where one of the choices will be to find more of their posts.

    2. In the lower lefthand corner of each post, there is a scales symbol. If you click on that, you can give that poster positive or negative reps and include a short message if you like. It's used if you agree with something a person has posted or if you appreciate info or a deal they've posted about.

    3. You can initiate trades through PM's if you like. Or through the database. Once you add a coupon to your database wishlist, it'll show you who has that coupon on their havelist. You can also respond to posts in the trading forum about coupons someone has by PM'ing them. Or post an ISO (in search of) post in the trading forums for others to respond to.

Thank you guys so much for the info. I totally love these forums! They are a wealth of knowlege on couponing. Honestly, there is so much, you can easily get lost. I will definitely go check out the trader in training forums. I've been wanting to start trading but was confused where to go. At least now I can find posts by a particular person and I know how and why you would rep someone. Thanks again bugface and gctattoo!

Dont worry, I was very overwhelmed when I first found this site too. It is so full of information. Start by clicking on the forums at the top and read all you can in the getting started, newbie section and the moderators are always there to help when you need it.
Look forward to trading with you!
