Different "envelopes" on my posts

Can someone tell me what the "envelopes" mean on my posts? Some are red, some are red and "opened", some are white, etc. I did a search on here but found no answers. Thank you.

I thought those envelopes had to do with what you've read, haven't read, something new added to it, etc...?

Well now I am even MORE curious because I just went back and looked at all my replies and I have a few white envelopes, 1 red "opened" envelope and ALL the others are red - meaning, according to the previous explanation, that someone disliked all of my posts except the few with white envelopes!! I can't imagine why or what I could possibly be saying that is so offensive. Geez, that upsets me. A lot.

No that's not it...you can see your reputations underneath that in your CP & it will show who gave it to you & if there is a comment on it..hold on..I'll rep you so you can look for it.

I want to add..in case you don't see it, you might have to click the arrow next to "see latest reputation comments" it shows or hides each area...

Thank you for the explanation. I see now the green squares have suddenly jumped way up. So just you leaving 1 rep has made it increase that much?

I still don't understand what the colored envelopes mean. I just did another search for them and still didn't find any definitions.

I'm going to go back now and see if I can find where it shows who gave the reps to you and their comments on my CP page. I'm glad people can see them because I like to tell someone when their post was helpful and why.

I'm not sure either, when I put my curser over them they say, you have 3 posts in this thread..or whatever, it says nothing on posts that I subscribed to but haven't replied in, but logically I'm not able to tell what the color differences mean..

WOW! I never even thought about it. I'm sitting here trying to figure it out & I'm a little stumped. I have these envies in my user CP where all my posts are:









Everytime I deduct one thing, another envie has the same characteristic. All the opened red ones have multiple pages of posts, but so do some of the others. I have quoted in red ones as well as some others. I was the last poster in many of the gray ones, but not all. I'm stumped. :shrug7:

I found the envelope descriptions!!! I thought I was going to my CP page when I clicked on my user name but just now I actually went to the true CP page and at the bottom, as you said, there is a list of the envelope colors and the explanations. Whew! Thank you so much. That was driving me up a tree! And thank you for the reps too.

meggers what do you mean when you "deduct" one thing? Do you mean once you have figured out one aspect of the envelope's meaning?

Are there definitions beside your envelopes?
