How do I find previous posts that I've made?

Hi! I'm completely new and am wondering how you browse the forums. I see there's 1,000 new posts already today so I know that's too many to go through. Should I just look at the forums of stores I know I frequent? TIA!!

It's really up to you. Personally, I don't really look at some of the forums at all lol. There are a ton of new posts to look at as it is, so I don't bother looking at store forums that are not in my area. KWIM?

Since you are just starting out I would suggest starting here with Getting Started, read through the sticky posts at the top. Then take one store at a time that you shop at. :)

I look at Wal-mart, Trades, Walgreens & RAOK very often.

Sometimes though I just click "new posts" at the top & scan over them, if there's a post that stands out to me, then I visit it.

Every morning there's like 9 pages of new posts. So i sit here while I'm waking up and have my main page as the page number of new posts and then open up all the threads I'm interested in with a new tab, then I read through all the tabs. Since all that can take 30 to 45 minutes, I leave the first page open and then get all the new new posts that have popped up since I started, heh.

But, i regularly skip through a lot too. All the grocery stores I don't have, auctions and trades I'm not interested in, etc. If you use the new posts feature it will say on the search results what forum a particular thread is in, if you don't have that store/aren't interested in that forum, then it's really easy to skip through.

If you're really new though, it's easier to just pay attention to particular forums and leave new posts for awhile, after you get the hang of what you're interested in here and your groove on the board.

Sorry if this is answered somewhere else, I've searched and can't find it. On a local savings blog site I use, there is an option when I sign in to "View all posts since your last visit" and I find that convenient. I think that would be super-helpful with overwhelmed newbies to HCW such as myself :) Is there any kind of option like that here? For the whole board or just for the User CP? Thanks for any help.

I always click "New Posts" at the top of the page. It pulls up all of the posts since my last visit. I find it very handy. I hope that helps if not let us know!

Yeah that feature here is the New Posts link in the top toolbar (or in the footer)

It will show you the new posts since your last visit.

On other boards there's a way to see your own posts without subscribing to a thread. Is there a way to do that here? Sometimes I ask a question, then forget which thread I did it in
