I didn't even know you could befriend anyone here. I guess I don't have any, lol. That's okay, I have over 200 on Myspace and I'm over 50! =)

Default Sending messages to your "Friends"

I would like to know how to send messages to all my "Friends" at one time. lets just say i have 50 friends and wanted to tell them all something, i hate to have to type their nicks, 10 at a time, 5 different times. there just seems like a easier way. if there is, i would love to know it.

    thanks

The PM system is set up on purpose so that messages can only be sent to 5 members
at a time; the reason being is to curtail the spamming of members.

I need to know how to send a PM the right way......I type them out and send them but the recipient is just getting a blank screen (with my user name and if they send me something it goes back to them but my PM doesn't get to them!!?? When I do it I push the spot where it says sendPM first and them type what I want to in the space provided and then hit submit but they never get my message.

Please someone tell me what I am doing wrong! TIA

Hmmmm... If you are sending to more than one person, make sure that you are separating the member usernames with a semi colon (;). If you don't do that, it won't read it right. Make sure also that you are actually hitting submit (the left button) rather than preview (on the right)

And be careful I passed on what I thought was a great deal to all of my "friends "and one of my so called friends turned me in so got in trouble for spamming. It was an honest mistake since the reward for friends signing up was very very very small but the deal was so beyond awesome I just wanted to share it with people I liked. Luckily I did not get banned or I would be very sad :(
So be careful what you send and make sure you read all the faqs and rules. There are so many and sometimes hard to remember them all but they are there for our own protection so be sure to read em.

I would think your "friend" would have alerted you that it wasn't appropriate to pass on that deal and if you did something like that again that he/she would have to report you.
And, yes all the faqs and rules are hard to remember, but thank goodness this site does keep us on the up and up. I love hcw!

Me too! not much of a "friend" huh. It really upset me b/c I could care less about the reward of the referral I just wanted to give my friends $10 worth of free stuff. It really hurt my feelings since I think if they were a true friend they couldve just said hey heres the link to this certain rule I think you need a refresher. And then they could report me if they wanted b/c I did indeed make a mistake so Im okay with that but geesh a true friend would warn you before throwing you under the bus.
Luckily we have wonderful mods and admins that knew I didnt do it on purpose.
But the reason I bring it up is I dont want anyone else to make the same mistake.
Rules are updated regularly and sometimes its easy to miss something or forget or think your ok among friends ect. So just a friendly reminder to double check all your rules.
