Bold and unbolded

Okay, I consider myself to be pretty PC savvy but I am stumped on this one. Why are some threads bold? I assume it means that I have not read it...but there are a lot of other threads that I have NOT read that are not bolded? Confusion. Someone help!:shrug7:

Bold is supposed to be threads you haven't read - unbolded is supposed to be threads you've read. We're still revisiting the colors on that whole thing, it might change yet.

It tracks threads since you last viewed the site. So it 'marks' those as not being new, since you have seen them before.
