Thoughts would be to clear your cache/temporary internet files - that could help. I did that the other day, so it does seem to help.
And then we have had higher traffic of late, which can also pull the server. I'm hoping the next iteration of the site will help with load times for everyone. If it persists, I'll check with the server people and see if there's something there we can be doing.

Our lone little tech guy reports to us that there is a server in Georgia that is down completely and one in California that is running really slow. Internet traffic can go through these servers even if you are no where near them and this can cause a delay.

I tried the clearing all a few days ago to no avail. The servers having issues may be the reason.

oh glad i found this! as i thought it was just my pc..i am on dsl and this is so slow! i even turn off my avast protection thinking it was slowing it down... was getting ready to :hectic1: take a hammer to pc! heheh

I should clarify that it is not our paid for server that is down but one of the nations major servers...but if this continues to be a major problem we may need to see what we can do on our end with our own servers. We hate drag time as much as you guys!

You should see a little bit faster load time. We went ahead and got a bump on our servers as we were seeing some high traffic that was indeed causing a slow in our load time.
There is still going to be some wonkiness where the page loads down under this big box where the ads are, it happens from time to time and for certain members and this issue will be corrected with some new design stuff we are working on.
But I am noticing a much faster load time myself and I hope you all will too.
