I've always wondered. What exactly is the benefit out of these rep points & referral points? Not that it really matters, but do we get prizes? Or is it just the fame of having a high score? Just Curious
Thanks in advance!
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
More than anything it's a nice way to communicate to someone that you appreciate their posts. They aren't worth anything beyond that.

i see in a thread yesterday, somoene mentioned something about " rep" someone... and i looked in my user cp and there is something in there aoubt it, also says somehting aobut i have so many "points" what are those for? how do u get them?
When you post something helpful or nice, people generally contribute to your "reputation" by clicking on the "scales" located at the bottom of the orange box on the left side of a post. You can click agree/disagree and send a note to the person, like "thanks for the tip" or something. You can leave positive or negative feedback for the person who wrote the post.
It is generally considered polite etiquette to "rep" someone for being helpful.
HTH! And welcome to the board!
Hey! Good question! A "rep" is like saying "good job" or "i like what you said" you can rep someone by clicking the little scales on the post and leaving a comment.
Thanks for the info, I wondered about that too!!
