Tips: What I did when freebies didn't come . . .

if it was something new I wanted to try, it means I won't buy the product. they missed their chance! I make sure I don't buy it. if its something I didn't care about, I just let it go. However if its a rebate situation and they don't honor it or come up with some flaky reason not to pay me - well then that company goes on my CRAPPY COMPANY list and I NEVER buy from them again no matter what they come up with or how neat it is. I've got a list of about four. Glade is my #1 offender. I make exceptions if I have *free* coupons. Not WYB, but out and out free. I'll take it free.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else - fill out a LOT of requests and every day is X-mas :)

But...this got me thinking about HOW to track them without spending another 1/2 hr a day just "tracking."

I have a couple of RSS Feeds that tell me about freebies...I think from now on I will leave the feeds that I respond to in my list and then delete them when they come in. This way, 1 quick look at the feed list and I'll know the date I requested it and that it hasn't come in. If I REALLY REALLY wanted it then I have all of the info I need to write in to the company. NO MORE SPREADSHEETS! (I have 3 already that have several tabs in each)

This MO sums it up for me too. I'd have to devote more time to it and then it might not be worth the extra effort, imo.

I guess I'm to picky! I have a folder,so that I know what's due to arrive. But, What I really hate is getting an envelope with the freebie taken out somewhere along the mail's route to my mailbox. "Is this a Federal Offense?" -I feel like I've been robbed! What can I do if the Post Office acts like 'DUH! So What?' Make's me so mad!

Half the time when i do get a freebie in the mail i don't remember signing up for it, so its harder to remember when something doesn't show. I kind of agree with collectorofbells, about the post office:(
