Free or cheap Pop-Tarts

We got a Safeway Supercoupon in today's (11/16) paper for Pop-Tarts for 3 for $3. You must buy 3 and use with a $10 purchase. Good from 11/16-11/22. You can use $1/1 peelies for free pop-tarts or $.55/1 insert qs for cheap pop-tarts. HTH!

The peelies were on the boxes? Our ad was 2 for $3, but if I could find the peelies they would still be pretty cheap!

I actually grabbed a few off some Pop-Tarts boxes awhile ago at a local market (not a national chain). Maybe 4-6 weeks ago? I just looked at 'em and they said invalid if not removed by the cashier. So now I don't know what to do. That's so weird...because honestly, cashiers NEVER remove peelies. It's just another thing I have to remember up at the counter. Which I never do. URG!

I saw this too - I already got mine free at a local store that had them on sale for $1 this week - but am going to try to get some more Qs.

We had the peelies a few weeks ago and then I think the store removed them. The front of the boxes where the peelies had been was torn. If there are peelies I try to put them face up and partially remove them I think it helps the cashier go faster and also reminds them they are there.

Just ignore it.

IME, very few of them do either. They're pretty good about watching for reduced priced stickers from their own store, but to expect them to twig to every little bit of extraneous advertising half hanging off products is too much.

Not likely. There's no incentive to.The peelies are put there by the reps to encourage sales and the store is reimbursed for the Q. The store is in business to encourage sales, not discourage them. So there's no reason for the store waste manpower to remove peelies.

The front of the boxes where the peelies had been was torn.
Sure, because couponers have removed them for future use.

I wish all my checkers were that on the ball, but they're not so I don't rely on them to remember everything.

I found some $1/1 peelies at Safeway itself today! They were on the Whole Grain Brown Sugar ones. They are a bright yellow. HTH someone find them!

Thanks for the advice, Essentia. I tried to rep you, but I need to spread some love first.
