Free Nature Valley Granola Bars?

According to a local blog the Safeway in Citrus Heights is giving free Nature valley granola bars - vanilla nut with no purchase necessary to club card holders. Anyone know anything about this one? Special weekend promo?

I confirmed for myself this evening in Roseville, CA. The freebies are a single pack (2 bars) of the new vanilla nut flavor. There is a freestanding cardboard Nature Valley display in the cereal aisle - free w/ club card .99 cents w/out card 1 per customer while supplies last. So if you're in Safeway take a look down the cereal aisle and pick one up.
