Default Everyday Low Price items

Thought it might be helpful to do a thread on the things that are good deals at regular prices at Fred Meyer. Prices might vary regionally and subject to change of course. Such as:

Potatoes $1.59/10 lbs
Wesson oil $1.59/48 oz 1st 2
Fred Meyer grated parmesan cheese $2.39/8 oz
Fred Meyer cranberry sauce 2/$1 1st 2 (Seasonal Item)
bananas 49c/lb
Hot Pockets are $1.79
Totinos Pizza $1

Just curious... how can they place limits on something that they say is "regular prices"? That sounds odd. Ex: Wesson oil $1.59/48 oz 1st 2

Fred Meyer Parmesan has been reduced to $2.09
Cranberry Sauce is no longer that price (was seasonal)

Wow. Bananas on sale here only get as low as .79/lb. Regular price is .99/lb. Only the ones that are ready for making banana bread get lower. Wesson oil is over $3 here. I've seen those signs like witht he Campbells Cream of Mushroom soup....first two are like .89, then .99 for all the rest. Miracle whip has it too.

Organic ketchup (catsup...whatever)
Naturally Preferred in the natural food section: $2.49 24 oz
Private Selection in the regular ketchup aisle $3.79 20 oz

Sneaky devils. Both are FM products distributed by IntraAmerican. Some organic items are cheaper in the natural food section, rather than finding them scattered throughout the regular food section.

My Mom says that .49 for Iceberg Head lettus is the normal everyday price. That is really a good deal, if so.

my store always has markdown bannas for 4pounds for a dollar, and that INCLUDES organic bananas! i have never had a problem with the organic ones on markdown, they last in the house for about 3 or 4 days, and if not eaten then, they get put into the freezer, organic bananas not on markdown this week are 68 cents a pound(not sure of the regular price as i have only bought markown bananas for the last 4 months until today when i got free bannas with coupon and 2 bags of spininch on markdown.....but acording to my reciept, regular bananas are 39 cents a pound? (and i see now i got overage? as i got almonds for 3.99-50q, 2 bags of spinach markdown @99 cents each-1.00 for buying almonds and salad q-1.25 on bananas when you buy 2 bagged salads?
my store also always has markdown salads from 99-1.49 a bag (same with veggies)
sorry its getting late an im sleepy i kinda ramble then .......

CHEF Re: Everyday Low Price items

Thanks Iwik,
The Hormel Chili is pretty tasty and seems to be less "greasy" than some of the other competing brands.
Sometimes I'll get the Chili with no beans and just cook with the beans of my own choice. It's amazing how many recipes are out there for Chili.

I have 55c/2 coupons too. The Hormel chili at FM included the turkey and vegetarian, I usually get those kinds because they are leaner.
