I agree! I always thought FM's policy was NOT to give overage. The cashiers at my store almost always inspect each coupon, often times checking the price of the product, to make sure I don't get overage. I usually just tell them to adjust it down, because I'm there almost every other day and don't want to draw attention to myself.

This was the east side store I had the problem with, the west side store NEVER hassles me for overages. A few weeks ago I even had a manager come over to show the cashier how to override the coupon (clear-override-enter). I sent an e-mail to FM HO and am awaiting a reply for their coupon policy. I will post the reply when I get it. When I called HO I was told that she could not find it written in the policy about overages. Only that they will only take coupons that ring up the same amount as the amount printed on the coupon. i.e. if the coupon says it's .50 off and rings up $1 off then the coupon is not valid. You can also read into that and say that if the item is .99 and the coupon is for $2 off then they can only take off the amount printed on the coupon, in this case the $2.

In the OP it says FM doesn't accept competitor's coupons but I just asked CS this week about that (since I had heard rumors about people being able to use them without problems) and sure enough, they accept them! Not sure if this is just our local stores or a corporate thing. They said they accept any competitor coupon as long as it is the exact same item. Now I'm wondering if it would be 'pushing it' if i tried to use Target IPs there :)

BTW the coupon a few weeks ago for the reusable bags said they had a lifetime guarantee - if they ever wear out they will replace them free. Plus they give me bag credit each time. Except I haven't figured out how to use them at the U-Scan.

I *think* the code at U-Scan is 1075. Look on the produce guide they have posted, and it should be on there. Mine was hand-written, along with a few other codes.
