FREE Banana Boat sunscreen!!

Last month and again this month, Fred Meyer's has a store coupon of $3.00 off ANY banana boat product (excluding lip balm). These coupons are hanging near the sunscreen products. In the trial size section of the store, they have these for $1.99. I have had luck each time with the cashier price modifying the coupon down to $1.99 and accepting it because it is not excluded on the coupon! HTH someone!

These are awesome little bottles to give to the kids so they have access to their own sunscreen!

I have tried this with the coppertone and one store made a big deal out of it. At another store customer service adjusted without any problems. Does anyone know if it is a YMMV or is there a company policy on items less than the coupon $?

I bought 4 Banana Boat sunscreen tonight. In my store, there were only five left. I took four of them. The cashier didn't want to accept the $3 coupon for the $1.99 trial size item. I asked whether he could adjust the coupon value and he did. Great deal!

I tried to do this a week or so ago after reading the OP and the cashier wouldn't budge. Said she could not adjust the value of the coupon and I should just contact Banana Boat about it. I told her most stores would just adjust the value of the coupon down to the price of the product but she insisted that she couldn't. I said no big deal just take them off, I don't want them then.

I wasn't going to argue over it.
