Now is it just me or has ot seemed like the last 6 months or so there just isn;t anything good in the monthly book? I find very little in there that I'm likely to use. It's really disappointing.

Merc,
I share yer observation that the Fred Meyer coupons have been less than spectacular recently. Fred Meyer had a rough business quarter recently and have had to retrench somewhat in order to stay in business.
At the moment the best Qs imho are the egg and milk Qs

I noticed that the monthly book had coupons for 5 pound bags of "Golden Star" Jasmine rice ...$4.99 cents a bag.
The monthly coupons are usually duplicated by orange/yellow store coupons hanging nearby the product.
A few days ago the store here pulled those coupons, but ones in the monthly are still working.
Usually throughout the month I'll spot a few in empty grocery carts .
I always grab them.
I think the offerings in the monthly coupon book had been decided on before Rice prices took off, causing a bargain :)

Where does one get the books at? Did you also catch the coupon in Parade for .75 Asian Sensations? Exp. 8-30

Hi there ^
The monthly coupon books are usually in a sort of shelving arrangement at the 98027 outlet. (next to the doorways)
In Bellevue (98007) the stand is only found at the back entrance to the store.
Anyway, customer service will generally have some spares.
In areas with very poor economics the books are usually rationed. If the poor had enough to eat, they might stop being angry.
That is what Saint Vincent de Paulle thought. Oh wait a moment, he was one of those old hippy bastedos that fed the poor.
Perish the thought.
----------
mass coupons are on the way, including the "Parade" ones

Here the booklets are sometimes at the checkstands in the bagging area. BTW often there are yellow coupons that are not duplicates of the monthly booklet ones, but are in addition to them, the X dates might be slightly different too.
