no, just with the ongoing bankruptcy and the original article saying with out a buyer that they would exist past april due to lack of funding

Sunday's Birmingham News had the article in the Money section.

Has anyone been by their Food World today to see what's going on? I wanted to go by the Pell City store, but decided at the last minute not to.

Wish it were possible for us to buy one, and have our very own grocery store, and we could have all the deals we wanted. Dream on. Have coupons coming in the mail today, and guess this weekend will be the *sob-sniff* last Food World trip. A sad end to 25 years of grocery shopping with the home town folks.

If someone does buy the PC store, it won't be kept as Food World, so it won't be the same.
