I'm going to take advantage of the prescription transfer gc offer today and load up on those .99 pork chops! No limit listed on the pork chops and the gc offer says one per person per prescription so I plan on transferring two prescriptions, copay total for the two will be either $18 or $12, get $50 in gc's and get about 50 lbs. of pork chops for the freezer.

That's my plan and I'll report back to let you know how it worked later today.

I love it! I did that two weeks ago while they were having their "meal deal"--I transferred a prescription, paid $15 copay and got the $25 gift card and used it to fill the freezer with frozen pizza and all the freebies.

Brokenchina, when you go to cook those pork chops, do this: Get a jar of the McCormick Roasting Rub in Savory Herb (there are Qs out there).

This is for pork. Put it on the pork chops when you start cooking them, I just sprinkle it all over.

Cook them slowly, on medium low, with the skillet partially covered for most of the time. (I've had lots better results cooking stuff on low and slow)

Then, take the cover off completely and brown 'em a little. The taste is fantastic, with the herb seasoning. I do not bread or coat my chops, just saute them as is, just adding the seasoning.

The savory herb is for pork, the French herb is for chicken, and the cracked peppercorn is for beef. Get all three, they make a difference!

Wow! I am psyched this week. I went to FW, got 25 lbs. of pork chops and packaged them up for the freezer. I didn't see the post about the seasoning but I will definitely be getting those. DH has been wanting to try it for the grill anyway...and that means he cooks and I don't. LOL

I'm getting 25 lbs more of the pork chops Monday. One of my prescriptions was out of stock and they won't have it until then. I need a rest from freezing meat anyway because after I went to FW, I went and transferred a prescription at Bruno's and got roast, steaks, 10 packages of fresh catfish fillets (for free with the $2 seafood q!), more cheap Cheese Nips and free Kraft cheese for buying the cheap Cheese Nips.

BTW, the pharmacist interpreted the prescription transfer q the same way I did...one coupon per prescription per person. As long as you have a coupon and a prescription to transfer, no limit. I asked before I gave her the prescriptions because if she had interpreted it differently, no problem. There are four stores right now to get gc's at with transferred prescriptions and something I want at everyone of them.

While it's on my mind...my father who has farmed his entire life told me to concentrate on getting as much beef in the freezer as possible. He said the price of beef will go up higher and faster than anything else due to the current events unfolding. This isn't really new news to us but thought I would pass it on for anyone who still needs to get those freezers stockpiled.

Yes, the loss of so much of the corn crop (animal feed) is going to bite us in the buttinski on down the road. That's why chicken, beef, and pork are so cheap right now. The farmers are cutting their herds and flocks down, with plenty of meat going to market. It won't last.

Anybody getting rain checks for meat? I have been 3 times and haven't been able to get the chops yet. I get 2 roasts.

Had problems tonight trying to double some of my coupons. It doubled 10 total, instead of 10 like coupons. Customer service gave me the money back. So check your crts.

Heads up for a miller rebate $20 on $40 meat purchase. Check those displays shoppers~!~
