ok im a newbie but already hooked on couponing. I went to food lion with my book and walked out with $100.31 in coupons. which I was totally excited about but on the same note it was only half off my bill. And I cannot seem to get lower then 50% savings still trying to work it

50% off is a great start!!!

As you get more of a stockpile and start getting used to sale cycles, your savings will increase (at least some weeks). I know if I have to buy meat, produce, etc - often that particular trip will be way less than 50% savings. Other times, I can save as much as 90%. It also depends on the stores you have in your area - do they double or ever triple?
