* I think * the $15 purchase is before coupons, or least it has been in the past for these type of deals.
So the advance copy of the Food Lion ad on their site shows Smithfield spiral sliced ham at $1.47 / lb. with an additional $15 purchase. Anyone know whether that's pre-q or after q's? Also, anyone interested in sharing scenarios? The ad isn't all that thrilling; I only saw a few items we really needed.
ETA: Apparently I wasn't paying close attention when I wrote this post. It's $1.47 not $2.47. Christmas brain, anyone?

I just grabbed my ad - I'm in Northern MD. Our ad shows:
Smithfield Spiral Sliced Ham - 1.37/lb with additional $15 purchase excluding ham - limit 2
Premium Hickory smoked Taste of Inspirations Spiral Ham - 1.57/lb with additional $15 purchase excluding ham - limit 2
Here are a few coupons matchups I see for this ad (12/15-12/21):
Pepsi 2liter products - 3/3.00 must buy 3 & get one Sierra Mist Natural 2liter free
1.00/1 Sierra Mist Natural (Safeway Thanksgiving booklet)
Hefty bowls, cups, or plates - bogo free
1.00/1 (Safeway Thanksgiving booklet)
Digiorno 12inch pizza - 2/10.00
1.00/1 (11/14 RP)
Hershey's shakes - 1.00
.35/1 (tearpad)
.35/1 (printable) here
Philadelphia Cream Cheese - 3/4.00
.55/1 (tearpad)
1.00/2 (tearpad)
Arm & Hammer 45-50oz laundry detergent - bogo free (reg price 4.99)
1.00/2 peelie (found mine on A&H cat litter boxes)
Copied from oscamaya's post a few days ago -
There are two kinds of Pop Tarts on close out for $1.19/box. The Frosted Cinnamon Roll and Unfrosted Cinnamon. There are $0.55/1 tearpad Qs hanging in front of them. Makes them $0.65/box.
Some other deals without coupons -
Fresh chicken leg quarters, sold in 10lb bags - .59/lb
Russett potatoes 5lb bag - bogo free (reg price 3.29 each)
3lb bag tangerines - 2.99
Or you can go grab the regular stuff you need & never have coupons for & will end up buying anyways - milk, bread, toilet paper, etc until you reach your $15.
Turkey breast is also on sale for $.97/lb if you have room for it.
You may also find that the $15 minimum is before MVP price too. I know often when they run these deals, it is based on the regular price of the item and not the MVP price.
