Food Lion Doubling Coupons in Atlanta Region

If doubles comes to the Food Lions in western NC I would be spending more time in FL. The 2 other grocery stores in the area double, Ingles .50 or less and Bi-Lo .60 or less.

Thanks for the info...hope this comes to VA. The only thing that I'm concerned about is them raising their prices in order to absorb the loss of doubling coupons and accepting competitor coupons. I like Food Lion even without doubles. Their base prices are lower for the things I buy and don't normally have coupons for. Doubles would mean that I'd have little reason to go to Kroger any longer, but only if FL doesn't raise their own prices to match Kroger's.

I agree. Hopefully they don't bump prices up. I also like FL even without doubling, and the staff is incredibly nice, they've always been coupon friendly, and they are my best source for blinkies and tearpads. Doubling will be GREAT if they don't raise prices or get rid of all the DND5 blinkies!

Has anyone obtained a list of participating stores? My store had no idea what I was talking about today.

Do you fall under the Atlanta region?

Go to the food lion website and look up your store circular. It will show at the bottom in red about the double coupons if your store does.

Food lion always has the best tearpads and blinkies and I figured that was because they don't double so the man. threw us a bone. I wonder if that will dry up now with doubles. There are so many booklets and goodies I have never seen anywhere else besides FL.

Please, oh please let TN do it where I live and other places. That would make Kroger have a competitor for doulbes. I am praying this happens.

Esp. if they do it up to 60 cents here in TN! That would make Food Lion the only one who doubles up to 60 cents here!(Except for HT, but they are too far for me!)

I saw the flyer yesterday too! So excited. It's our only store that will double up to .60 also so that's good news with all those .55/1 Qs out there.

Ok, I talked with my super nice CS manager. She has been working for FL for years. She said that the Atlanta area is a test market for the new coupon policy (doubling, competitor coupons & price matching) and that as far as she is concerned, it is the new policy. It isn't going anywhere. She said that the marketing department made them put for a limited time on all the ads & signage so that if need be, they could pull it at any time without any repercussions. However, if the policy goes well in the Atlanta area, they plan to expand the policy to their other stores.

Also, my competitor coupon from Publix also doubled! YAY!

eisor, that's good news! Hopefully they will take this company wide. Food Lion has a 'mere' 1,300 stores in the southeast! Of course that includes Bloom stores which already double, but Bloom only has 64 stores in that 1,300!

If they're trying to increase market share, this is the way to get the shoppers attention, even those who are not rabid coupon shoppers like we are, it does draw people in.
