I just got this text from Food Lion for those of you who have texting. The number is 467467 to text them.

Food Lion: Get a FREE box of Simple Living Cereal! Just Reply CEREAL to load the item to your MVP Card. Limit 1 per household. Text OUTFL to stop.

I texted it in and it said:

Food Lion: Thanks! A box of Simple Living Cereal has been added to your MVP card. Redeem tomorrow starting at noon at Food Lion. Offer expires 5/25/2010.

So, is this a FL brand of cereal? I got the same text and I was wondering if it was good or not or what flavors it is in.

I have seen it in their store. I think it is a FL Brand. The kind I saw looked like special K.

Oh and I accidentially texted: "Cereal" yesterday and had to send my text again as "CEREAL". So be sure you send the text in all CAPs. It does make a difference.

I just wanted to pop in and say that I was wrong. The cereal is not like Special K. It is like Life. My store only had plain and cinnamon. I got the cinnamon one so the kids can eat it. The $3.25 came off no problem though.

The first time I did one of the texted deals with FL I had to text them my MVP number as one of the requested replies.

Yeah, you just have to remember. I e-mailed corporate to make sure that my MVP was linked to my cell before I even tried since the only proof that I was supposed to get this deal was in a text message on my phone. It worked just fine though.
