Those darn low prices at FL. My above scenarios won't work.
Regular price of the Haas avocados - .99. So you'd have to buy 3 plus a lime to get over 3.00. And those avocados are small.
The limes are 4/$1 regular price. So you'd have to buy 12 to get to 3.00, making them .17 each.
