    "Produce
Russet potatoes 5 lb bag $.99"

Is this a misprint?? .99 for 5 lb russet potatoes is almost too good to be true. if so, I will be stocking up to plant these suckers!!

Okay not to get off topic too much...but how does one plant these (when & how) and how much does a potato yield? Any help is appreciated

set the potato out in the sun (like on a window seal) for a day or two, so it eyes can start to grow a little, then when the ground thaws out (as in my case, but it's finally starting to warm up outside) you can plant it in well drained soil, just make sure it is covered with dirt and the above ground plant should sprout in 2 weeks or so, then just fill in with more dirt. I have been told you can grow potatoes in tires...yes this sounds a bit redneck...but.. what you do is plant it using one tire then when the plant emerges you stack another tire on top and fill in with dirt, leaving the leaves out to get sun, and it will continue to produce potatoes......or so I am told. I have never tried this method. but my dad grew potatoes from grocery stock, last year and had good success. so I am going to be trying it this year. once you plant the potato, you can get 5 more from that one root stock potato...or so I have read. if these 5 lb bags are .99, then it's definitely worth a shot!

That's what the ad says. I did a double take, checked for lbs, the whole nine yards. I sure hope it's not a misprint. It sounds a little to good to be true. but then again that is just a little over bogo. reg price is $2.88
