Basic Food Lion Information

What is the phone number to call if I have a problem?

Food Lion welcomes feedback from our customers. If you have a question, concern or comment, please call our Customer Relations Department toll-free at 1-800-210-9569.

Does Food Lion accept coupons?

Yes! They accept manufacturer's coupons (including printables - YMMV) and their own Food Lion printable coupons.

Does Food Lion double coupons?

No.

Is there a limit to how many internet printables they will accept?

Yes. You may use one FL printable coupon per item per transaction. For example, you can use one baby food FL printable, and one soda FL printable, ..... You cannot buy 2 sodas and use 2 FL printable coupons.

Does Food Lion price match other store's sales?

Not to my knowledge.

Can I use more than one manufacturer’s coupon on a B1G1 free promotion?

The official company line is yes, but YMMV according to your store manager.

Is there a limit to how many coupons I can use in one transaction?

According to corporate, you can use one coupon per item.


Can I use coupons on clearance items?

Yes. If they give you a hard time, call corporate. They will straighten it out!


When does Food Lion post the weekly sale ads online?

Weekly, on Wednesday mornings. You can view them at www.foodlion.com

Food Lion Store Coupons

I found a whole bunch of Food Lion coupons on a receipt in the parking lot! Can I use them?

These are usually manufacturer's coupons and can be used by anyone at any Food Lion. Even though they may say only valid at Food Lion, you cannot combine them with another manufacturer coupon.

To clarify, you can use only one of each KIND of FL printables per transaction, not just one printable per item.

EX: 1 ice cream coupon, 1 baby food coupon, etc.

Posts are to be in compliance of this policy as of 6/6/08. Any posts going against this policy will be subject to a warning/infraction.

Food Lion has changed their coupon policy and like many other stores they are starting to really "crack down" on internet coupons. For some this is not new, but for the rest, please take the time to review this new policy.

Food Lion will gladly accept any manufacturer coupons, but only as they are written.

Food Lion will accept Food Lion Internet Printables (FLIPs), but only as they are written and they CAN NOT be combined with manufacturer coupons. (These coupons can be combined only when neither coupon excludes it.)

Food Lion will accept internet printed manufacturer coupons if they scan into the system.

They will not accept the following coupons:
-single sided internet coupons offering a free product
-competitor's coupons
-a coupon that is a higher value than the value of the product (NO overage is allowed)
-coupons that appear to be computer generated, copied or reproduced

Managers have the right to refuse any coupon they feel does not meet their criteria.

Below is a copy of the form letter that Food Lion will e-mail out if you write them in regards to their coupon policy.

I have updated to add new information as well as included the still relevant information originally provided by susanktz and MrsPinecone.

Where do I get Food Lion Internet Printable coupons?

They are available by signing up for the Shopper's Companion at Food Lion - foodlion.com

Can I print them in the store?

No.

Can I use a Food Lion coupon and a manufacturer's coupon together?

Yes, as long as neither coupon excludes it. (This changes with the weather, though. You can as of 6/11/09)

Is it possible to print more than one coupon?

Yes, if you have access to multiple computers. The link recognizes cookies on computers and will only allow you to print one time.

Is there a limit to how many Food Lion coupons I can use at one time or print?

Yes. You are only allowed to print each set of coupons once.

For the integrity and protection of HCW website:

Links to ANY format of Food Lion printables (the URL of the "Easter egg", PDF, GIF, Word documents, coupon generators etc) that are not yet released by Food Lion website or e-mails will not be permitted to be posted at HCW.

Discussion of the future coupons is fine. Possible deals you may get with the future printables is fine.

Any posting of these coupons will be deleted without further discussion or notification and a warning/infraction will be issued.

Addition to the policy (this is the same as our policy on other printables):

The Food Lion coupons allow one print per PC. Any posts that advocate or provide instructions on the printing/copying of multiple coupons WILL be deleted and a warning/infraction will be issued.

spoke to 800-CS today about my store's inconsistent policy re: IPs. she said FL CANNOT post a "no internet coupons" sign up in the store. they must visually look at your IPs and determine them legit or not, before dismissing them outright. they cannot say "we do not accept IP's", because they DO, and you may just have an uninformed checker (which she assures me the store manager will take care of at my store). just because they scan doesn't mean they will/should accept them either, as that is no longer the accepted theory at FL. if you do not trust your checker's judgement on your IPs, always ask for the manager on duty to look at them. according to her, this IP issue seems to be a virginia problem moreso than other locations. -fyi for those this may help-

Well, tonight I got the "we no longer accept IP's" line FROM THE MANAGER. He was rude, ugly and down-right nasty to me. I was treated like a common criminal for wanting to use a coupon. I got home too late to call CS tonight but they will be hearing from me tomorrow.

At my Food Lion in VA, the register stop accepting coupons once I reach a certain amount of them, even though I don't have duplicates and am not trying to stack them. I asked the cashier, and she said there is a limit to the number of coupons you can use, and that it takes a store mgr to override. Sounds like this is against their official policy?

I'm real afraid that we're heading that way with all of the stores. The manager's don't seem to care what their company policy is because who's going to really do anything to them about it?

I just went to my local Foodlion. They used to double coupons, now they don't. They say that you have to spend $35 and they only double up to $.50. This wasn't the case on Friday. I have a receipt where they doubled nearly every coupon I had, and receipts from coupons that were doubled before, as early as Friday and as late as January. I'm kind of irked about this. Does anyone know where there is a written policy?

is a walgreens RR a competitor coupon? i have a $10RR manufacturer coupon i got from the glucose meter deal this week... i'd love to use it at FL if I can, it's only 2minutes from my house vs. 20to walgreens :( thanks
