In service of Creating Great Customer Experiences for you,
Food Lion stores will follow these steps when accepting coupons.
    • We will only accept coupons that are in date and the product or purchase
    requirements have been met.

    • We will accept Manufacturer, Store, Internet and Catalina Checkout Coupons.
    • Coupons with limits specified on them must be followed.
    • No “cash back” will be given for coupons of any kind.
    • Customers may not use more than (1) one coupon per item with a maximum
of (10) ten coupons for the same item per customer.
    • We will only accept Internet coupons that appear to be originals.
    • We will not accept internet coupons from other retailers.
    • We will not accept FREE internet coupons.
    • We will accept Manufacturer and Store coupons for FREE items.
    • The value of the FREE item cannot exceed the purchase price of that item.

any coupon that may appear to be fraudulent.

    Does Food Lion double coupons?

As of May 2010 Food Lion does double coupons of $0.60 or less in certain areas. As of now this is reported to be a test program in limited areas (per the information we have it is in the Atlanta GA area only). Otherwise, Food Lion does not generally double coupons.

Where do I get Food Lion Internet Printable (FLIP’s) coupons?

They are available by signing up for the Shopper's Companion at Food Lion - foodlion.com

Is it possible to print FLIP’s more than one coupon?

Yes, if you have access to multiple computers. The link recognizes cookies on computers and will only allow you to print one time.

Is there a limit to how many Food Lion internet printables (FLIP’s) they will accept?

Yes. You may use one FLIP coupon per item, per transaction. For example, you can use one baby food FLIP, and one soda FLIP in one transaction. You cannot buy 2 sodas and use 2 FLIP’s.

To clarify, you can use only one of each KIND of FLIP per transaction, not just one per item.

For manufacturer internet printables, there is a policy limit of 10 of the same coupon so this would apply to IPs as well. However, store managers have been known to set their own limits regarding IPs and the policy states they reserve the right to refuse anything they feel is fraudulent.

Does Food Lion price match other store's sales?

    Not at this time.

Can I use more than one manufacturer’s coupon on a B1G1 free promotion?

The official company line is yes, but YMMV according to your store manager. This also depends on how your store rings up each item that is part of a B1G1 sale (each rings up ˝ price, or one rings up full price and the other rings up free).

Is there a limit to how many coupons I can use in one transaction?

According to corporate, you can use one coupon per item and a maximum of 10 of the same coupon.

Can I use coupons on clearance items?

    Yes.

When does Food Lion post the weekly sale ads online?

Weekly, on Tuesday mornings. You can view them at www.foodlion.com

    HCW Policy & Information

For the integrity and protection of HCW website:

Links to ANY format of Food Lion printables (the URL of the "Easter egg", PDF, GIF, Word documents, coupon generators etc) that are not yet released by Food Lion website or e-mails will not be permitted to be posted at HCW.

Discussion of the future coupons is fine. Possible deals you may get with the future printables is fine.

Any posting of these coupons will be deleted without further discussion or notification and a warning/infraction will be issued.

Addition to the policy (this is the same as our policy on other printables):

The Food Lion coupons allow one print per PC. Any posts that advocate or provide instructions on the printing/copying of multiple coupons WILL be deleted and a warning/infraction will be issued.

Please refer to the HCW policy on coupon fraud.

Can someone please tell me what the policy is about the rainchecks? The assistant store manager told me today, (after he saw I had the coupons for the items and it would make them cheap, and he proceeded to ask me for the who knows how many times now, when did I get the raincheck, and again I told him, I do not remember, a long time ago, summer maybe?, mind you before he learned about the coupons everything was just dandy. He carefully read the coupon front and back, which is fine, but it was his attitude, he was just looking for something. And then as soon as I said I don't know when I got the RC, when 'summer' word came out of my mouth, his eyes lit up and he was like, OH, NO! we can not honor it then. I asked what the FL policy is about RC, because it does not say anything on the RC about expiration date, and he said well, I don't know exactly but that is to long.

If the RC doesn't state any expiration then they need to honor it whenever you bring it in - I certainly would never suggest you lie but maybe next time just stick with the "I can't remember exactly" line. If he can't show you a policy that states they only honor RC for a certain amount of time then I would ask for the District Manager's phone number and call him or her.

mxmom99, Food Lion used to have a scan right policy; however, it is no longer in effect. If an item scans a different price from the price that is on the shelf, you should be able to purchase that item for the price that was on the shelf tag. The store can easily process that by filling out a "tag wrong" raincheck.

    I hope that helps.

    Best of luck.

Also, I'm not aware of any expiration dates for rainchecks, but I will ask today when I go to work. I am also looking for a complete coupon policy for everyone because customers have asked about it in other forums.

Even, I have started to feel frustrated since I keep finding bits and pieces of coupon policies floating around.

An update on internet coupons, I don't know if I posted (and forgive me if I have because I tend to repeat myself) we were notified for the weekend date of 07/07/10 that all website coupons are limited to one print per customer.

    I hope that helps.

For all their mass confusion that IS one area FL corp has been pretty clear on - the coupon cannot exceed the value of the item. They will not adjust it down (mod note: yes, I realize some store managers/cashiers are willing to work around this but here's another friendly reminder not to post about it if your store does).

So, short version, your store was within rights to do this and corp will back them up on it.

PRINTER Re: Food Lion Policies and FAQs - Updated coupon policy 2/14/11

So, when FL says " We will not accept FREE internet coupons" does that mean all of my coupons from Coupon.com won't work there? I'm new to couponing and trying to determine where to shop for what and when. Also does anyone know if Walmart accepts Free Internet Coupons, or if you can double up on coupons at Walmart?

Thank You in advance for you help
