Food Lion ~ Question: problem with Diamond Nuts transaction

Can someone tell me why this didn't work? I purchased 2 Diamond Nuts and 1 banana. total was over $6 before tax. Cashier scanned $2/$6 produce FLIP, $1/1 Diamond nuts mfg. The problem came when she went to scan the second $1/1 Diamond nuts mfg. It beeped. She said I had too many coupons. Is that so?

HUMMMM...When I did my transactoin I got 2 nuts and garlic, but I also got 2 Macadamia nuts too (Diamond)...I used the $3/2 Diamond Q and mine didn't beep. I had a wine tag for the other nuts since they need to be over 8oz to use them.

Did you end up buying them or put them back?

The register acually said "too many coupons" to me once or twice today. I'm not sure wha the cashier did but she fixed it. May have been a manual override.

mine said the same thing but it was the water Q giving trouble.

Today I got 2 nuts 1 banana and 8 candy bars used the $3/2, $2/$6 flip and 4-$1/2 candy coupons and didn't have any problems.

My coupons beeped several months ago and the cashier told me that the screen said too many q's. She got that deer-in-headlights look and looked at my total and then gave me an evil look as though I'm trying to scam the company out of their millions. I did have more q's than products but that's only b/c of the flips.
I miss all my stores in the north with their GREAT Q policies, incredible sales and clerks who r used to couponers.

I went today and got
2 nuts
1 naner
1 pop tart
1 chuck steak
1 bacon
1 ritz

I used 8 coupons total (3 flips 5 mq) and had no problems-but I guess I got 8 items and used 8 coupons...glad I didn't have any other flips+mq otherwise I guess it might have beeped.
