Food Lion ~ Other: Food Lion on Facebook

Hey all! I just recently moved to Topsail Island and the only grocery store I have is Food Lion so this is pretty much going to be the only part of HCW I get to hang out in anymore. Anyway, I am completely addicted to facebook and saw on FL's page that you can become a fan. It seems that they have someone staffing the page to answer questions pretty quickly too. So I thought you guys might be interested in becoming a fan of Food Lion on facebook for asking questions when you don't feel like the hassle of the phone call or not getting a response via e-mail. Hi Oscamaya welcome to the beach I live about 10 minutes away but drive a bus everyday on Topsail. I know its sad that Food lion is your only close food store. The beach Food Lion's at Sneads Ferry and Surf City are higher than the ones in Jacksonville so you might want to keep that in mind. They are supose to be building a Lowe's Food Store at the intersection of Hwy 50 and Hwy 17 in the future.

Jacksonville is like a 30 minute drive from me so it probably evens out paying the higher prices to stay close rather than factoring in an extra hour of driving. It is less than 3 miles to FL in Surf City where I am so if I am feeling ambitious I could always walk!

I saw a sign that they are building an HT sometime in 2010 near me too YAY!

My aunt lives right down the street from that HT sign and said it's been there for a long time - I told her about how they are good store- she said they have no idea when it will be built! I went in the Surf city FL and thought the prices weren't bad - lower than my rural area of VA! Probably depends on the item - so jealous you live at Topsail - my dream place to live!! Enjoy!
