I had a delightful surprise this afternoon while picking up the .87/lb chicken drumsticks...and that is, that the 92% lean ground beef is on sale in the Triangle area for $2.49/lb. We've completely run out of our stock of this and I was afraid we'd have to wait several weeks for more as I thought I had missed the last sale cycle. Yes, $2.49 is pricey for ground beef, but not for the lean stuff. Most places sell it regularly for at least double this price so I'm excited! I bought about 20 lbs of it and ziploc pump and sealed for our storage freezer.
