DD3 Food Lion GA triples deal thread

I hope this helps all of you. Limit is 20 per day period.

I will not be able to list all q sources and exp dates but I will list everything I could find that was free, cheap or overage. Some of these qs exp. 8/30 8/31 and 9/1 look before you shop if you go later in the week. Ok and now to the coupons!

Prices are before coupons applied and coupon is listed at face value. Prices are from the fayetteville store

FREE:

mentos gum .99 special buy q= .55/1
glade sprays .99 each q=.75/2

barilla pasta, various .75/1 plus ,50/1 whole grain, .50/1 piccollini .75/2 any(red plum home mailer) whole grain was $1.25 for penne piccollini was $1.45, barilla plus was $1.95 only carry one type

muellers .55/2 2 boxes of the 8oz spaghetti are free otherwise this q isn't so hot.

mccormick garlic salt $1.77 q=.75/1 pepper, garlic or onion spice product
(there are probably other cheap/frees but that's what I remember)

reach floss $1.49 cleanburst q=.50/1 (there was one other flavor that was a few cents more)

cheap/good prices:

capri sun sunrise $2.79 q=.75/1 (kraft home magazine)
bounty paper towel .99 before 3 day sale .25/1 p&g
.79 for 3 day sale, store was very stocked up
reynold's wrap recycled aluminum foil $2.69 q=.75/1
scott naturals flushable wipes tub or refill $2.00 q=,50/1 tub or refill
kraft miracle whip 32 oz $3.49 q=.75/1 (previous family fun mag)
hillshire farms small pack of polish keilbasa/sausages on bonus buy q=.75/1 any something or other sorry I used it and don't have it front of me

luigi's italian ice $2 q= .50/1 (inserts and tearpads dnd 5)
mission tortillas $1.89 q= .55/1
reese 8 ct pb cups $1.79 q= .55/1 any reeese product
marth white muffin mixes bogo q= .55/2
ragu sauce $1.75 q=.60/2
orville rednbacker 6 packs of oopcorn bogo @ $4.89 q=.40/1 (you can buy just 1 at 50% off)
van de camps pork and beans .68 for 1 q= .30/3
heluva good dips 2/$3.99 q= .50/1
welches squeezeable jelly $2.42 q=.75/1 (printable I forgot the source)
(there is also a .55/1 gallon of milk wyb 1 welches squeezable, I don't know if piggybacking is allowed, I didn't try it)

Good qs to use that aren't tripling
ritz crackers are $1.99 each free crackerfuls wyb 1 ritz crackers box (1 per tranasaction)
edy's $1/1 they are $1.99 right now

Prices that may be good if your stores carry these items fayetteville doesn't:
wet ones wipes .75/1
purell .50/1 (fv only carries 1 $3.09 pump and that was still too high for me)
.55/1 gum product .75/1 gum toothbrush
.75/1 glide floss or floss picks (the floss was expensive, they don't carry the picks)

I spent a lot of time doing math in these aisles and these products were not good prices:
most health and beauty
most frozen
most cleaning supplies

If you are brand loyal or have no stockpile YMMV in those aisles but the prices were high. I was really hopeful for that .75/1 kotex but the prices were still too much. I get that stuff free at cvs so I wasn't paying anything!

If I can think of anything else I saw I will add it but I haven't had coffee yet and I went last night so bear with me

Thank you. And reps to you, very helpful. I have never participated in the triples. Do you need to do anything special or just hand them the coupons?

Nothing special besides giving your mvp card first. Glad I could help. If anyone finds wet ones wipes can you help me out, because I searched everywhere and couldn't believe they don't carry them!

They come off as one at face value and then a double. So at first it looks like it's not tripling but it does. Like .50 then -$1.00. Their receipts are so confusing, I really hate them. It took me 5 minutes to make sure I wasn't overcharged but everything does go through fine.

Let's see how well I remember the coupons I had yesterday...

Dole Fruit bowls, 4 pack pineapple in juice 2.49 x 2
-.75/2

Martha White Chocolate Chip muffin mix 1.62 BOGO
Martha White Bran muffin mix (so .81 each)
-.55/2 coupon

Mueller Spaghetti, 8 oz. .68 x 6 = 4.08
-.55/2
-.55/2
-.55/2

Dawn Ultra Dish liquid 1.61
-.50/1

Duke Mayonnaise (very small jar) 1.79
-.50/1

Land O'Lakes butter with olive oil 2.19
I am really unsure about how much this coupon was for... .55/1?

Bounty Basic Towels--I missed that the 3-day sale doesn't start until Friday .99
-.25/1

2 Dinty Moore Compleats 4.00 for 2
-.75/1

Bush Pinto Beans .99
No coupon, and they were more expensive than elsewhere.

Before coupons= $22. 25

After coupons tripled, total was $5.62, which I think is decent.

And then there was today...

Mueller Spaghetti, 8 oz. .68 x 4 = 2.72
-.55/2
-.55/2

2 Sobe Life Waters 1.00 each = 2.00
-BOGO Coupon (I know I could have gotten this for free at Kroger, but they wouldn't accept an internet BOGO coupon) (This coupon rung up as -1.59.)

2 Barilla Plus Penne Pasta 1.95 each = 3.90
-.75/1
-.75/1

Red Baron Deep Dish singles, pepperoni 3.79
-.75/1

Kellogg's Cinnabon bars 2.79
-.75/1

Taco Bell Home Originals Kit 3.05 - 1.38 sale = 1.67
-.75/1 internet coupon --they had to manually enter this one, and I had to remind them to triple it.

Reese's King Size peanut butter cups 1.50
-.55/1 The coupon beeped, so the manager entered it as -1.10, and reminded the cashier not to give cash back. I asked if that was the price I paid and the cashier nodded. My receipt proves otherwise, but I'm not worried about it. I did well enough!

Before coupons: 18.37

After coupons tripled, my total was .48!!

That's right... 48 CENTS--including tax.

Oh, I was just looking over this, and the Taco Bell kit gave me overage and they had to manually enter it. Would the computer have stopped the coupon from tripling to 2.25? I have heard that the computer will triple up to the regular price of the item. The Taco bell kit was regularly over the value of the tripled coupon, but the sale price was below it.

So, what do you think? Would the fair thing be to give them .75 cents when I go back to the store tomorrow? I don't know why the coupon beeped. I was careful to buy exactly the right item.

Food Lion's corporate policy is that they do not give overage at all. However, this sounds like an honest mistake on both yours and the cashier's parts, you bought the right item but the coupon beeped for some reason. The cashier could've manually entered it only up to the price but allowed it to triple. Whether you give them the .75 is totally up to you - do whatever makes you comfortable. As I said, I feel it was an honest mistake and I probably wouldn't worry about it but you may feel differently.

This also seems like a good time for a reminder (not directed at the PP - that was an honest mistake) - please, please, please do not discuss anything that violates FL's policies (overage, more than 20 coupons per day, etc) - it doesn't matter if your store manager, cashier, CSR, whoever told you it's okay - we cannot allow any discussion that violates the corporate policy. I will have to give warnings or infractions if this occurs, thanks!

Was what I said considered discussion on overage? I can edit it if needed.

I am confused about something, though. If the register automatically computes an overage, is it wrong to acknowledge it? There it is not a cashier or consumer mistake, but, I assume, the way that corporate programmed the registers.

I can edit out overage stuff if I'm supposed to. I really didn't know the corp policy, I'm a new shopper. I assumed no cash back means if a coupon triples to over the amount of the item then you must buy other items to absorb that. That they will not give you cash out of the drawer if it goes over. I would think they would know certain coupons are going to give overage :shrug7:

There are .50/1 french's mustard coupons that will probably equal a good price too, I forgot to check that yesterday.

The way the policy reads they are not supposed to allow overage - the cashier should manually enter those coupons so that the item is free but no overage. True - many cashiers don't do this but we aren't going to discuss that here - just consider yourself lucky and don't mention it.

pilesoflaundry - I edited your post just to make it read free for those items

katarain - no, you were asking a question, as I stated - that was not directed at you, it was just a general reminder, I do not like having to issue warnings or infractions!
