We try to watch what we eat as far as heart health goes, so when I played the Guiding Stars game I was a bit surprised at some of the answers. ;) Anyway, I kind of like their little games. Just a little tool to keep this old mind a little sharper. :)

COMBINING COUPONS: In reference to your referring to combining manufacturer's coupons and FLIP, I have found recently that the FL stores at which I shop will not do process the two on a single item any more. They beep and won't be pushed through. I can kind of see their side of the issue, but it almost is like they won't take a coupon when their store has a "special" which is how I view the FLIP coupons. A FLIP is a "store special" that you "redeem" with a little slip of paper. So if you can't use a FLIP and a manufacturer's coupon (for which they are reimbursed) on the same purchase, it is consistent with refusal to allow use of a manufacturer's coupon on an advertised special.

FL will take a mfr Q when an item is on sale.
FL will take FLIPs when an item is on sale
Taking a FLIP combined with a mfr Q is YMMV. It can only be done if the FLIP doesn't have the wording, "No other coupon may be used with this coupon" (the most recent ones do not say this). My stores do allow it.

Mine have been taking both also as long as they scan. I make sure and give them all my MQs first and then my SCs.

My store managers have told me that you can combine the two as long as the FLIP doesn't specifically prohibit it.
