    QUESTION FLIP issues and question

I have been using flips for a few months and I don't think I have the hang of it. I guess my thing is, okay for instance the $2/$5 produce... do you get upto $5 preMVP price? if so how do you work it at the register? I am not doing so cheaply on these things, and I would really like a better explanation and some help. I know this type of thread is somewhere, but I thought I would go ahead and ask again. thanks for the help

Just look at the regular price and base your minimum purchase on that. Say you have a $2/$5 produce FLIP. If grapes are 1.99 regular price, and on sale for .99, how many do you need to buy to reach that $5?
    $1.99 x 2.52lb = $5.01

    Then:
    5.01 Pre-MVP price
    - 2.49 MVP discount (2.52 x .99, which is the amount of discount MVP gives you)
    - 2.00 FLIP
    = .52 for 2.52 pounds of grapes

Of course, you can buy more than 2.52 pounds, but the closer you stay to $5.00 pre-MVP, the better your savings.

Ok, I have a question how does the 2/10 Flip for beef work. Do you have to buy meat that is $10.00 or can you get clearanced meat that was $10 before it was marked down and is now say $6.00. TIA!

does it matter at what point you have them scan your card?

I would be wary about that. If the mark down sticky has it's own bar-code, it will just ring up the reduced price. The only reason other items work on pre-MVP is because the register reads the full price before discount is taken off.
So I'd say no, but others may have a different opinion/experience.

It has never mattered for me. I stopped in at FL twice today. First time the cashier asked for my card first, the second time I handed it over last.
Both times I got the deal, no beeps.

That's right. The MD sticker has its own barcode and rings up as 'meat item' *MD. So you would have to buy $10 worth based on the bar-code sticker whether it's MD or regular in order to get the $2 off.
