We really do not enjoy having to issue warnings or infractions but we will have to if these discussions continue.

FL's policy does NOT allow for overage. If your store does not follow this policy then that is up to the store manager. The official policy is that they will adjust the coupon to the price of the item and you will get the item for free. Please do NOT discuss overage.


The FLIPs are limited to ONE print per computer - if you have access to multiple PCs and can print many, that is fine. Discussing ways to print them on one computer is NOT fine.

If you are not sure whether something is okay to post - PM myself or PMFan and we will let you know.

We want everyone to get in on the great deals and also have a great time but we need to be sure we are staying within the corporate guideline when we post - thanks!

It's printed right on the coupons, as far as I know.

It is printed on the coupons. I called corporate several times when they were changing the wording around on the coupons a while back. I asked for clarification on this and they said that you had to choose either the MQ or the FLIP. I even told them that other grocery stores allowed the combination and they did not budge.

This information is in the FL Policies and FAQ thread, if anyone contacts corporate and gets a different answer, you can feel free to copy and paste the email you get (I'm sorry but a phone call isn't acceptable for this situation - it would need to be in writing) in a PM to myself and PMFan, we will look into it. They have consistently said one coupon per item, that is the FL policy and that is what we have to go by when posting here.

Please, please, please everyone - do NOT post about combining a FLIP and a manufacturer's coupon on the same item. I have edited posts and sent PMs and asked nicely but from this point forward I will have no choice but to issue a warning or infraction if this is discussed. Your store may allow you to do it, and that is up to the store manager - but since it violates FL's clearly stated corporate policy you may NOT post about it here. Thanks!

Another reminder here:

If you post about combining a FLIP with another coupon I will have to issue a warning or infraction.

If you post about getting overage - same thing.

I understand that some of you have been told by store managers and/or cashiers that these things are allowed. If your store allows combining and/or overage that is certainly up to them - however both of these things go against the stated corporate policy of FL so I cannot allow any posts that discuss these things. Be happy you got a deal, tell your friends and neighbors if you like, but do NOT post about it on here, please!

It seems another reminder is in order - please do not post about overage - it doesn't matter if it is 1 penny, 1 dollar, or 10 dollars - FL's policy states that they do not allow overage. It also is not acceptable to state that you did not get overage, since it is not allowed per corporate policy, you really did not miss out on anything.

You may post about getting items for free, you may simply say "I used this $2 coupon" when you are discussing your deals but please do not say "I used a $2 coupon and got .25 in overage" or I will have no choice but to issue a warning or infraction, thanks!
