Food Lion ~ Question: Does your FL double coupons?

I am also in PA and my FoodLion doubles coupons. I went yesterday and they doubled the 40 cent one I had so they are still doing so. If I remember correctly, they double up to 50 cents and only if you a minimum purchase amount of $15.00.

I've just started going to Food Lion as it is a bit out of the way for me and I couldn't find the answer to this question. Anyway, I was wondering if they doubled mfrs coupons? I just checked the online circular for this upcoming week (8/15) they are having Chex mix on sale 3/$3 and I have some $0.50 coupons...

You might want to check with your local store. I am in PA and my FL does double coupons up to 50 cents. They only do this if your order total is at a minimum amount. I can't remember what that amount is right now.

Mine just doubled a .40 coupon but I have I idea why. They don't usually and when I asked I was told because my total before coupons was $35 or more they double the first five coupons under .99. HUH?

Thanks for stating the amount of $35. I couldn't remember it. I will have to check some of my past receipts as I didn't realize they only double the first 5.

I swear I need to write this stuff down so I can keep the different policies straight as I am starting to shop at more stores. Sunnyway will also double the values 50 cents or less (or maybe less than 50 cents?) if you have a certain minimum.

Tonight I shopped at Weis for the first time. They told me they double up to 99 cents with no restrictions, even when you have more than one of the same coupon which is better than Giant. So, I thought that was great.

I asked dh about the double coupons issue tonight. He does Route Sales in MD. He said he thinks our FL's in our area are an exception to the rule that FL doesn't usually double coupons and that they put it in place to be competitive here.

Never ever here! Its the only show in town, no competition. Sure wish that Super Walmart would hurry up & get built, then maybe they would have to.

I swear my Food Lion up north double coupons up to 99¢ - I know every other store in the area did (Weis, Super Fresh, Martin's). Anyway, I went in today and the coupons did not double. So I'm guessing either I was wrong or there was a change in policy? I didn't find out 'til I left - I was busy tearing apart my FL printable (heh) while the coupons were scanning.

Nope ... Florida (also known as the LOND .. Land of no doubles) does not double coupons.
I think they possibly double in VERY North Florida.
I lived in Florida my entire life and never even knew about doubles until moving to Georgia a year ago.
