The economy isn't the problem it's that the chains have gotten too big and I think some of them have an attitude that they are invincible and can call all the shots. They seem to have forgotten about customer service. Usually when that happens - especially when the managers are jerks - it's been my experience that those stores go out of business within 6 months to a year.

ITA. Now that you mentioned the "don't ask, don't tell" possibility, I am going start asking individual stores again and see what happens.

Thanks for the suggestion. Although I have lurked on this site for over a year I just recently signed up. I'm still trying to figure how things work. But I finally figured out how to put in smilies today. I'll get that worked out next.

Although it may take me a little bit to figure that one out.
