    QUESTION Festival Food Shoppers 2010?

Hi everyone! I am a pretty new to all of this, but from what I can see there is not much going on in my neck of the woods! North East Wisconsin. Packer Land. Anyway, correct me if I am wrong but it seems like pretty slim pickins' as far as stores around. Copps & Pick n Save are 1 in the same. Festival foods, Piggly Wiggly & I think Save A Lot... oh yeah & also Woodmans.

Can we get a new group started please for these stores?? Is anyone interested??? Please!!!

I'm in NEW and I try to post Pig deals and Save A Lot deals weekly. I actually have been trying to get into posting a Festival foods one as no one really ever posts here about it. Do you do Double Daze at Copps/PNS? I really love doing that and save gobs of $ every week. Usually between 60-70% at least if not more. I find lots of great deals at Walgreens too. Not always typical drugstore stuff either. I find that Walgreens accepts my coupons that PNS will not. This week has great deals at Festival. Glad you joined HCW!! I'm in the Fox Valley. :)

Welcome to HCW! I am also from NE Wisconsin (in the Fox Valley area). I shop at Pick 'n Save, Festival, and sometimes Piggly Wiggly. Mostly Pick 'n Save though because of the double coupon days, I've found that I can get the best prices on the things I buy regularly and stockpile there compared to the other stores. Occassionally Festival will have a good deal (at least for me) on one or two items, like recently they had Jolly Time Popcorn for $1, and I had home mailer Qs for $1/1, so they were free! But otherwise they do have good prices, but not prices that I stock up at.

The main issue I have with Festival is that they don't double coupons and they have the "store coupons" you need to use in order to get the lower prices for some of the sale items and in order to use those you have to buy $5 worth of non-store coupon items and there is usually a limit on how many of each item you can buy with the store coupons. I really only go there for a few good deals (usually when they have milk really cheap - like $0.98) so I save up my mail-in rebates and try-me-free offers and I buy those types of items to get to the $5 amount so that I can get the lower price with the store coupon and then get some/all of the $5 back through the rebate.

Anyway, I would definitely recommend taking a look at the Copp's/Pick 'n Save forum if you haven't already done so. There is a separate part of the forum for the NE region because our ad comes out earlier than the one for the SE region so we get the deals ahead of time from others. There haven't been a lot of recent posts on good deals, but at least in my opinion, even if there were - a good deal in my eyes may not be a good deal to you. You may want to check out the Roundy's Rewards website (www.roundysrewards.com). You can view your Register Rewards amount (there is a thread about that in the Copp's/P'nS forum if you aren't familiar with it) and you can also view a PDF of the weekly ad - for me it's easier to look at the ad there rather than the Pick 'n Save website, which doesn't contain all of the items.
I will only be online every few days, so I may be a bit slow to respond.

I really wish there was a place to see the 'whole' ad as there is that little insert that's like one sheet of specials not listed in their regular weekly ad. Like this week the GM cereal deal was in it, Perdue chicken, Goldfish crackers, Betty Crocker Frosting/cookie pouches/Warm Delights/brownie mixes, just to name a few things I saw. Lately I've been just stopping there before Double Daze to see if anything helps me out. This stuff wasn't in the pdf either. Here I thought I found a solution. Oh well. Another weird thing was in my ad the Morton salt was $5 each even if you didn't buy 4. I bought two today and got it for that price. I had A$1/2 so got them for $4. Not bad for a grocery store price on salt.

Yes, 4andnomore920 I advise you to shop PNS/Copps Double Daze. Same here for the Pig and Save A Lot...I only really try to go in for their loss leaders or good sale items. I agree with PurrMinn as Festival and the Pig have the policy of spend x amount to get to be able to use the store coupons, but if you can make it work, use it to your advantage. Hope you hang around. This place rocks!

Checking in over here as well. I shop Festy for loss leaders and produce. I don't like PNS produce so to get to the $5 I buy fruits/veggies at Festy.

I go through streaks of time where we don't shop Festival at all and we stick to PNS and Aldis. (We're in Oshkosh.)

I can't remember what it was, but I think I saw a freebie on the Festy list this morning as I was checking online this morning. I will tell you that I typically find that some of their loss leaders have coupons on the moneyboard in store, so always check for something to stack with what they have on sale.
