Farm Fresh ~ Other DEAD FARM FRESH Gm $5 off $20 purchase deal!!!!

Okay, something isn't right! I went to Farm Fresh earlier and I purchased the following:

Pringles Mini's
Wish Bone Salad Dressing
Orange Crush Soda x2
Hungry Jack Mashed Potatos x4
Beechnut Baby Food x2
GG Steamers x2
Yo-Plait Yo-Plus x2

The two Yo-Plait are the only two items I purchased that would count towards this deal, but the system took $5 off. The yogurt was 2/$4. So I tried to figure out why it did this. So then I went to the register with 2 Yo-plait and a roll of paper towels. It didn't take the $5 off this time. So the only thing I could come up with is that it took the $5 off because I bought $20 worth of stuff regardless of if it was all GM stuff. So when I went back later I decided to try it again. I bought the following:

Kelloggs Poptarts $1.75 each x2
Grape Crush $1 each x2
HJ Mashed Potatos $1.19 x2
Beechnut Baby Food $1.26 x2
GG Steamers $2.00 x2
FF Over Moon Milk $3.69 x1
Yo-Plait Yogurt $2.00 x2
Olay Body Wash $2.01 x2
Old Spice Body Wash $2.11 x1

Total before coupons is $28.32. I was watching the screen and the $5 came off when the total was $20.09.

Total after $5 came off was $23.32.

After coupons and taxes my total came to .39.

I guess they have a glitch in their system or someone programed it incorrectly.

I am in Virginia Beach - where are you from? I wish I had this problem, my night was a mess with the teenagers who were working as manager and cashier. they range up my bill to exceed $12 bucks more than it should have been - the cashiers response , please just pay for it so I can help these 7 people waiting in line, I will call the manager. After I did so, because I like to be polite, he turned to me and said you saved 40 bucks more than 64% I do not think you are getting any more back - SAY WHAT - NO HE DIDN"T! so little missy came up attitude and all and asked me if I purchased 20 of the breadsticks to get the $2 price for the GM deal , oh come on this is management... anyway, I ended up with A FREE breadsicks and pizza crust ( be careful they ring 2.79 and 3.19 should be $2.00. plus I did not get the $2 off my bill for buying 5 boxes of poptarts.
Long story short she basically told me that I had a poor attitude and ( I was really nice and even paid for my stuff when I new it was wrong) but I got my $12 back.
I told my DD now my receipt doesn't look as good... only a couponer could understand. $60 before coupons and $12 after along with two free items over $6.00 ... whew couponing takes strong nerves and no fear we put up with so much!

livilex.....what store so you shop? We usually go to Fordam Dr. store off Indian River and had nothing but trouble, much like you describe. There were so many times things just did not come up right that DH and I just quit Farm Fresh all together good deals or not. We have thought about going back for the double 1$ but I'm not sure its worth the hassle. The mistakes were never in our favor like ToHimIPray described.

I went to the dam neck and london bridge store. I can say beyond doubt do not stop, it is so worth it! The best places to go are the great neck store they are sooo incredible and the strawbridge location also fantastic and an awesome manager at both. Just avoid the london bridge store! ......awesome to see so many from around here!

I am in VaBeach too! I am new to shopping Farm Fresh, but I also go to the stores on General Booth. I have had major issues with things not ringing up correctly, and coupons not doubling at the store at Dam Neck (and all very young people working the CS desk) but was extremely happy with my trip at the store at London Bridge. I was doing the $15 OYNO there...it didn't print, but the CS rep ended up giving me $15 in cash since their power had been in and out that day. I'm sorry to hear that you had trouble though!

Oh, and to the OP...I am actually from NN! What a small little world here on HCW!

You got an amazing deal!

This is still going on. Did another order today. I only bought 1 yo-plait today because that was all they had left and the $5 still came off. Again, I had no other GM products in my order. Hope there are others in my area that get to take advantage of this.

I found out 2 things tonight, the first is that farm fresh will be giving away FREE 7 up with antioxidents to the first 200 or so people who come in sat morning!
second -The manager is sooo awesome at the london bridge strawbridge location - he was extremly helpful and is always great to work with as is his staff. Looks like there may be some reorganizing and they are closing the kempsville location. If you have shopped here in the past, please take a minute and contact corporate to compliment him and his staff. I would hate to loose him. great managers are always hard to find!

Well, I shop at Farm Fresh in Portsmouth, VA and never have problems. One time about a month ago when there was a deal with $15 RR and another for $10 RR and I should have gotten both and didn't, they gave me no problems, the manager just gave me a giftcard with $25 on it to use for my next purchase. They are always so friendly too.
