HAPPY DANCE Fuel Express dumpster diving

This program rocks! I went dumpster diving yesterday at farm fresh and got a coupon for 3 cents off of every gallon of gas up to 10 gallons. I also got a free loaf of french bread dumpster diving! Gotta love litter bugs!!

You buy stuff at the store that is marked "fuel express" and it will give you a certain amount off of your gas up to 10 gallons. In my store the products that count for fuel express are in the ads. And when you go to the gas pump you just take your receipt and scan the barcode. You can use up to 10 receipts in 1 transaction. I use my coupons and sometimes save up to 20cents a gallon wooot!!!!!!!!!

I purchased ONE 1/2 gal organic milk which was on sale this week and received a $.03 gas credit good for 15 gallons exp 9/30. The coupon says it can be combined with up to 10 other gas credit coupons.

FF gas prices today were $3.35/gal for regular. The cheap gas station across the street was $3.33 (Southern). So, really the coupon is worth $.01/gal or $.15 to me total.

Katieprov19: You mentioned that the items which qualify are in your ads. Does FF change these items each week so that the milk I bought today won't qualify next week?

Also, since I only bought ONE 1/2 gal of milk, if I had purchased FIVE 1/2 gallons of milk today, would I have received 5 times the credit or $.15 credit per gallon (up to 15 gallons)?

Last, how do you know (other than finding out when they hand you the coupon) how much the credit per gallon will be?

I am trying to get the hang of this program since it is new to me.

Thanks for any information.

I have noticed that the products that qualify for fuel express do change as to how often I'm not really sure. I don't want to tell you the wrong thing :)
I do know that you get a separate credit for each item you buy. I did this w/ pudding once and got 1 cent for every box of pudding I got. You know what the credit will be b/c it says it on the tag under the product on the shelf and in the ad. At my store the tag is huge and in yellow and black letters. It says FUEL EXPRESS 1 CENT on it. Or how ever much it is worth

You can go to the Farm Fresh website and click Fuel Express link. You can see every item in the store (by type, gorcery, dairy, etc) that particpates, how much you can get per item and what the max amount is.

From what I have seen, some products are always part of it (oj, chiquita apple bites) and the others rotate every sale ad or so.

We have been doing really well and average .50-.75 off each grocery trip!!
(I check the website ahead of time and plan my coupons and sales by the gas money as much as possible)

HTH
