    Meat Bundle Messed up-had to call Corporate BUT got it fixed

    Just need to get this off my chest:
    I went to Fareway this morning and bought a $60 meat order, well I asked the guy at the meat counter if I could substitute the 10lb of chicken for Ground beef and he said yes. Ok well I buy my meat order and get home to find out I only got an 3 lbs of ground beef instead of the 10 I was expecting instead of the chicken, you can probably imagine how mad I was so I called the store and asked what happened to my ground beef, had to go through 3 different people until the 3rd person told me that they sub. the price value and not the lbs. I then asked them why wasn't I told before I bought it because I could have sub. something else that was more expensive to get more ground beef (in my family thats what we eat the most) and he got an attitude with me and said Well what do you want me to do about it? Oh man that just made me so mad and I told him to give me corporates # and he was like oh no I can make it right for you and blah blah blah, and I told him no I want corporates #. I'm sorry but I don't let my DH or kids talk to me like that and I'm not gonna let anybody else either. Left a message with the office in DSM, they called me back and asked me what happened I told them, I also told them if I was going to be treated like that when I call about a problem then I will just take my business to Hy-vee or Walmart and then they said ok we are gonna call the store where you went and the manager will call you back. Manager called me and said I'm sorry you were treated like that and that he is gonna deal with the situation and he agreed with me that I should have been told about the way they sub. the meat before ordering the meat order also he told me that the next time I go to the store he will have 10lbs of ground beef in the freezer wrapped in 1lb packages for me for free. I have never had a problem with Fareway before and hopefully never will again.

    Wow! I've NEVER had a problem with Fareway before. They are always, hands down, the best place to shop here in DSM. They are accommodating, friendly, and willing to help AND always tell you up front if something is different. That's just crazy!

    I wish the other stores around here would hire people and/or train them like Fareway employees. There would be quite a few less headaches for me!
