Fareway ~ Good Deal: Picks of the Week 11/03-11/09

Hi all! Wow Fareway had a big ad this week. I blogged about it and am posting some of the very best highlights here. Did you find anything spectacular? Sometimes my eyes glaze over certain categories that I rarely shop (like beer lol... I'm a red wine kind of girl. Or cat food and so on...)

I'm excited to stock up on some holiday supplies and also some meat that isn't pork. I love pork but I think most of my meat supply came from a few sales in October. Hope this helps, have a great week. :)

Yummmmm great idea--or for smoothies. I think I'd rather eat banana bread though hehe!

A deal with the Fastco brand shredded cheese. There is an IP available right now for $1.50/2lbs ANY BRAND cheese. So if you buy two bags of the shredded cheese that's on sale for 99c/bag (which is a pound each) and use the coupon you can get two bags of shredded cheese for 50 cents!!

Deal...

(2) Fastco Shredded Cheese - 99c*2 = $1.98
Minus (1) $1.50/1 MFR IP
= 48c/two pounds cheese

What a smart idea! Duhhhh I didn't think of that today when I went to Fareway. I may have to go back for more LOL. Thanks!

Note that Fareway made an error in their ad about the sizes of Cheez-Its on sale. Their sale size is the little one-and the coupons I have are for like 10 or 11 oz. I believe? In any case, it's a no-go. Bummer! White Cheddar Cheez-Its are unbelieeevably good.

The bags that are on sale are the 8oz. ones which would only be a half a pound. So you would have to buy 4 of the bags to use the 1.50/2 lbs of cheese. At least the ones here are the 8oz. ones.

ah nuts :sad: for some reason I was thinking that there were only 8 oz. in a pound...guess that shows how good I am at math thanks for pointing that out...

Our bananas are green as can be Last time they did a sale like this on bananas they were over-ripe and not too tasty.

I got the Milford Valley Farm chicken cordon bleu and chicken with broccoli and cheese for 49c each after 50c IP.
