Fareway ~ Question: IP coupons they wont take? (Bettendorf,IA)

I went to the Bettendorf Iowa Fareway last night and was going to use a bunch of Kraft internet Print coupons since they had their sale going on Kraft stuff there. Anyway got alot of good deals like Kraft dressing and stuff like that. I did have a coupon for Kraft Velvetta and shells(good for 1.50 of 2) but when I went to check out she said they dont accept IP coupons over $1.00. I told her fine no problem just to take the 2 boxes off and no problem. Wasnt like I needed it anywya just was buying it because I had a decent coupon plus on sale. Oh well saved me alittle money I guess, but has anyone heard of this or is it true? Thanks for all you help.

It's a YYMV deal and it's not just Fareway Our No Frills Supermarket here won't take any IPs over $1 either - but price match to Fareway and HyVee. Kind of confounds me, but it's the store rules, kwim?
