My twins are creative. Carly tells Laim "Lay down" and then she stands on him and climbs over the gate then pulls him over it. She devised this method at about 18 months old. LOL

A note about strollers... I also had a Graco Duo and liked it a lot. I have had a lot of moms tell me they do not like the side-by-side strollers because they are too wide to fit thru doorways, etc. I had the tandem and never tried a side-by-side myself but that is what I have been told. Just FYI. And I would definitely NOT go out and buy one of those expensive puppies new! Look for a used one. I got mine for $25.

Another mom of b/g twins here. Mine at 2. It is a good idea to join a twins club. Mine has sales in the spring and fall and you can get great deals. I suggest Barbara Luke's book "When You Are Expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads". Also make your doctor has lots of twin experience, it is not the same as a singleton pregnancy. As for strollers, I loved my Double Snap n Go. It was the only way I could get out and about.

Congratulations!

I was going to suggest the same book. That was my bible during my twin pregnancy. Be prepared for the fact that you might have to go on bed rest. It just really depends on how the pregnancy progresses, but if it's recommended do not fool around with it. I had to go on full bed rest at 29 weeks and had my twins at 33 1/2 weeks. I'm short (5'2") and it was hard on my body having 2 babies in there. However, I followed the advice in Dr. Luke's book and they were born big for their age (5 lbs. and 4 lbs. 10 oz) and only had to spend about 10 days in NICU. But that meant I came home with two very small babies on monitors. During the first few months, take any help that's offered because it can be overwhelming to take care of two babies at once. The first 6 months was definitely the hardest, but I always got such a lift from taking the babies out and hearing all the sweet comments people would make. My b/g twins are now 6 and no one would ever guess they're twins. I almost miss those double stroller days!

Congrats on expecting twins! It truly is a wonderful thing.

This is so true, and I'm sure It will only get worse as my girls get older.

I have 16 month old fraternal twin girls. By biggest advice...
-Don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it. I'm only 5'4" and I carried my girls to 38 weeks. They were 6lbs7oz and 6lbs9oz. My girls are also still breastfeeding at 16 months.
-Get a good doulble stroller, you'll need it.
-Join your local twins club. They have great resales twice a year. That's where I get most of my kids clothes.
-Don't worry about not being able to tell them apart. I was so afraid of that when I was pregnant. Now they can both be sleeping in the other room and one will start to fuss and I can tell you who it is before I go in there.
-Start buying diapers now when you can get them at a good price. Wipes too.
-Take as many pictures as you can when they're babies. I honestly don't remember most of my twins first year.

First, let me say

Now, I know this is off topic but it is kinda funny! I was searching through the all the new posts just reading all the topics when I came across yours that asks: Need advice from those who have had/are having multiples. What I wasn't doing was looking at the categories and I thought to myself, oh she wants to know about multiples...cool...I can help, I get multiples every week!!! Well much to my surprise, that wasn't what you were talking about and when I was first reading your post, I was kinda confused...it took a minute! Oh well, thought I would share my blond moment! Congrats on your prenancey again and good luck!!!

Soo...how are you feeling? Scared, excited, happy? That is just too exciting to be having twins!

I have 8 yr old boy/girl twins and it had been an adventure! The first year was crazy -- but fun! A lot of work. But it starts getting easier and easier with each year I found.
My advice to you would be:
Make up a months worth of easy freezer meals before you have them -- you are gonna be so busy! Secondly, get them on the same routine. When one eats, you wake up the other to eat so they will get on the same sleeping schedule. And you can get rest that way.

I would totally find a twins support group -- not because you will necessarily need support -- but because it is so much FUN hanging with other moms that are going through what you are going through. That was so much fun going to those meetings!!!

Thats all the advice I will give ya- have fun with them! And congrats!!

Congrats on twins!! I am also pregnant with twins, two boys. I'm 23 weeks right now and I found out at 9 weeks. What a shocker that was! So far I am doing well. The boys are getting so big and so am I! I was pretty sick until 17-18 weeks, then it slowly started getting better. I had/have a lot of food aversions and that is SLOWLY getting better as well. I might actually attempt to eat chicken today - scary! I live on fruit, yogurt, carnation instant breakfast, and chocolate milkshakes! Food wise, it's getting a lot better. I eat all the time and am so hungry now! I even have a middle of the night snack most nights because I wake up hungry. Sleeping is becoming a challenge because my boys are both breech and have decided that my ribs are good places for their heads when I lay down at night. Ouch! I am still working full-time but I'm hoping the doctor will take me out soon. I'm just too exhausted to continue.

I recommend checking out BabyCenter and their multiples board. I read that a lot and also my birth board has a lot of twin moms on it that chat. Also, the TWINS magazine bulletin boards are really good too. If you're wanting to breast feed, I've really enjoyed reading the multiples book by La Leche. I got it off Amazon and it is amazing. I feel like I need to read it 5 more times before they get here!

OK, enough of my book. Congrats and enjoy being pregnant. I'm loving it!

-One more thing. (Sorry!) I see a chiropractor that has a lot of experience with pregnant women ans it has been a lifesaver in my comfort level throughout the pregnancy. I HIGHLY recommend trying to find one! I call mine my miracle worker!

I wanted to add that I was VERY sick also - threw up almost every day the whole time I was pregnant. The funny thing is that even with all that, I still miss being pregnant. Try to enjoy it - I was always so worried about everything that I didn't enjoy being pregnant very often.

I had a couple of multiples books and while they are great, you just have to try to trust your body and your instincts. I delivered at 36 weeks, but never went into labor. The doctor just did a C-Section because it looked like that their growths had slowed down. I worked up until 34 weeks until my doctor made me quit. Thankfully I never got put on full bedrest.

We have gotten so much use out of our double stroller. The only bad thing is that my kids have not gotten to be so independent they don't want to sit in it anymore!
