Default best advice for saving for baby?

Not pregnant yet, but hopeing to be through invitro in Feburary next year. What is the best thing I can do to save for the invitro and future baby purchases such as diapers, breastfeeding supplies, etc??:Any way to earn them free or cheap? I shope at CVS, Target, and krogers weekly. Thanks

The best place to start is some of the sticky threads in this area. The diapers and wipes 101 is great at helping you figure out how and where to get things cheap or free. There is always a post in this area too if there is a great diaper deal going on somewhere too. Good luck!!

All three stores regularly have deals on diapers, especially pampers. (cvs will have ecbs on pampers and huggies alot, target will have buy x, get x gc fairly often, and krogers has buy x save x instantly) So stock up on diapers and wipes now, that way you can get them cheap instead of paying full price/undealled later.

Sign up for all the baby lists, they'll routinely send coupons/formula checks.

My DH and I recently found out that we are expecting our first child in June so we've been planning a head for that as of a few months ago. Savings, in itself has become a front runner.

As far as stockpiling goes I've done really well so far and we live in LOND. I typically try not to pay over .12 a diaper IF I can help it. The diaper stockpile thread is REALLY helpful as is the diaper chart IMHO =) Target is ALWAYS having good diaper deals using their own Target q'd with a manf q and/or get a GC for buying them, etc.

Wipes - same thing I get them when the are free or almost free. Huggies always has $1/1 Bath and Body q's out which can be used at on the .99 Huggies CleanTeam wipes.

I did sign up for the baby lists/coupons/formula checks MONTHS ago and haven't gotten anything yet...so the earlier you sign up there better IMO.

Hope this helps you in some way! Best of luck =)

Some insurances do offer coverage for in vitro based on medical need/history. When I was trying to get preggo both times, we found out our insurance covered a lot of fertility costs including in vitro, in vivo, etc. Is the $5000 after your insurance has covered a portion?

Good luck with your preggo attempts!

I second the info on Target, CVS for diapers and wipes. You can still sign up for the baby sites if you are not preggo. Also seek the help of family members! Get them to sign up on the baby sites. Also, start trading for those baby q's now. I wanted to breastfeed my DS but due to circumstances ended up switching to formula. He is now on a specialized formula and it is very costly and rarely can I find deals. Since formula is so expensive, trading for formula checks is the main focus to help my budget.
