Posting videos of School events

I'm curious to see what everyone's view is on posting videos of school events on youtube or facebook.

My daughter's Christmas program was today and I videoed some of it. I would like to post it for our family and friends to see, but since there are other children in the video, I wasn't sure the ethics of it.

What are your thoughts?

I wouldn't post it so publicly. That's what Facebook is for with appropriate privacy settings.

You never know what people's family issues are. If you have a suspicion that my child is enrolled at HCW Elementary all you have to do is a search on YouTube glance through the videos and BINGO! You might just come across Macaela25's kindergartener and know just where to find him should you want to kidnap him Monday afternoon....KWIM?

It sounds far-fetched but there are a lot of freaks out there that hurt kids...why help them even innpcently?

I wouldn't do youtube for sure.

Maybe photobucket?
and then go through FB as long as your settings are tight as can be.

I wouldn't post it on you tube. People have their own preferences on whether or not they want their child in videos online.
