HELP Using traded checks- any problems?

Okay, I went crazy on ebay and bidded on a ton of checks.. LOL. I'm regretting it a little now because I'm worried I'll get hassled at the grocery store since the name isn't mine.

Has anyone had any problems? Do they check for your name?

Oh, and if you've used others' checks you've traded/bid on at the grocery store did you use multiple ones at once? Or just one check at a time? Esp' if the names don't match? LOL. Save me here, gals.

I had trouble with this at Walmart. I had traded for formula checks and couldn't use them. I tried to use several (with various names) at once and they refused them saying it was fraud because they weren't mine. I tried one of the checks at my local grocery store and they wanted ID to use them. I ended up trading them away because I couldn't use them. :( Good luck.

I only had a problem at walmart. I used checks a friend gave me. They had her name on them. I had to sign them, so I signed her name. Target never gave me any problems. Neither did Babies R us. And I got to combine a store Q with the checks!

I never had a problem. I used checks at Walmart and Target, mostly, but nobody ever asked for ID or any such thing like that. I was never made to sign the checks either, so it wasn't even an issue.

I never had to sign a check. I'm not sure why they would have you sign the check???

Have you tried a generic formula with him? Similac has the same formulations as store brands. If #3 gets any formula, we're using Walmart or Target brand. I refuse to chase coupons and checks to get Similac at the same price as store brand, especially when a lot of those coupons and checks say one per transaction or visit.

I used any brand with #1 LOL Including generic.

But with #2...had to buy the stinking $25 buck of gold stuff

I completely agree though. If you don't have to buy the expensive stuff...Don't!!!!
