That's a great idea. I'll have to look more into it. I actually have never used cloth diapers. :) Thanks.

The CPSC is investigating the new Pampers with Dry Max. There have been tons of complaints that they give kids a rash that resembles a chemical burn.

P&G, of course, denies. "There have been only 2 complaints per million diapers sold." Well, duh. Someone buys a pack of 40 diapers, uses 2-3 and discovers that they give baby a rash, so they stop using them. That leaves 37-38 unused but still sold diapers out there. Does anyone at P&G ever think before they comment on something like this?

Wow, thanks for posting this. I had no idea that there has been complaints about this diaper. I've noticed in ds that he has had blisters on his bottom. I thought they were just normal blisters until they started appearing w/i hours of each other. I've been using some of the samples that have come in the mail for along with other packs of the pampers that I had as well. I knew that he couldn't use the swaddlers because of the mesh lining that was i them (they always made him irritated down there as well.

If there is something going on with this diapers I hope they say something soon before someone gets seriously hurt from them.

Honestly, I would just to be safe....the only pampers that don't have dry max are the swaddlers sensitive in sizes N, 1, and 2....all the other cruisers, swaddlers(all sizes), and swaddlers sensitive(size 3 and 4) have dry max. People are also saying the easy ups have drymax and are causing the same "rash or burn".

If I can find the quote from one of the execs from Pampers, Jodi Allen, told the media that the rashes are basically just a myth parents are claiming because they don't like the new diapers....last I knew the CPSC doesn't investigate myths.

"For a number of weeks, Pampers has been a subject of growing but completely false rumors fueled by social media that its new Dry Max diaper causes rashes and other skin irritations," Jodi Allen, P&G's vice president for Pampers, said in a written statement. "These rumors are being perpetuated by a small number of parents, some of whom are unhappy that we replaced our older Cruisers and Swaddlers products, while others support competitive products and the use of cloth diapers."

Yeah, P&G said the same thing when I complained to them that Luvs give DS a rash. "Out diapers are hypoallergenic. You must be using something else that's causing it. But here's your money back, anyway."

Why Pampers uses that nasty scent on sensitive baby butts, I will never know. I know tons of people who can't or won't use Pampers and Luve because of the scent.

I noticed on the first page that it says people are satisfied with the walgreens diapers - really? I had to change my baby's clothes 4 times a day because they leaked constantly. I've read others have the same problem on different websites - I bought a lot of packs of them when they had a great sale and used one pack and took all the rest back (how disappointing).

patrickatpampers is on a distinguished road
Default Re: Diapers & Wipes 101 -- New and Improved!!

Hello all, patrickatpampers here. If it’s o.k. with you folks, I’d like to respond to your concerns about our new Dry Max diapers. I’m a parent too, and I totally understand where you’re coming from. We’re saddened when any baby suffers any kind of diaper rash. I used to get so upset when it happened to my DDs. Trust me, nothing is more important to us than the health, safety and well-being of the babies who use our products. For everyone reading this thread, we ask that you please give us a call to tell us about your experience. We take all comments seriously and it is helpful to learn what is going on with as many babies as possible. Again, you can reach us at 1-877-256-3265, M-F 9-6 ET. Also, it is true that our diapers do contain a small amount of perfume. It is added, however, between the backsheet and therefore is not touching the baby’s skin. I will definitely send your comments along to the Pampers team though.

Not sure if this is the right place, but for stockpiling purposes, how long will an unopened package of wipes stay moist?? I don't want to buy too many and have them dry out before I use them up.
