Default Any Target baby coupons out there?

    I've checked the database.

We were in a car accident last week and I have to replace our Britax. Does anyone know of any home mailer coupons floating around that I could trade for in the trading forum? That's such a busy place that I don't want to ask for them if they don't exist, KWIM?

    Thanks :)

I havent received a Target baby coupon book in awhile....

On another note, when we were in an accident about a year ago we were able to submit a claim to our insurance company who paid for us a new Britax $300 car sear replacement. Was very happy with them for that.

    Hope everyone was ok!!!!

You should absolutely be reimbursed for the cost of your car seat! Britax follows NHTSA guidelines where if it's a minor accident (defined here), the seat does not need to be replaced, and therefore insurance companies probably won't cover it. (Regardless of that stance, the seat should really be replaced anyways because you simply don't know if something happened to the seat.)

I think from your other thread, this was not a minor accident, so definitely submit a claim to the insurance company. And I haven't seen or heard of any car seat Target qs lately. Check out sites like amazon.com, albeebaby.com, and strollers.com for a good deal on a Britax. There are also a ton of other seats that are equally safe and have the same features but are less expensive. LMK if you want other options. I'm kind of a car seat geek.

Oh yes, I'd love some help. I don't want to spend that much if I can get something comparable for less. We have to replace the seat and will submit for reimbursement of course. What do you suggest?

I will tell you something that aggravated me so badly - the other insured's company claims that they must take our old seat from the crash and donate it. I checked the standards you linked, and our seat DEFINITELY cannot be used again. So help me out here - what child will you deem this seat "safe enough" for if it's unsafe for mine?

After our accident the insurance company replaced both seats. We had to buy them and they reimbursed. We had to give them the seats to destroy so that no other child could use them. If they donate that seat and another child is hurt in an accident I can see a possible lawsuit looming.

Have you looked at Babies R Us to see if they have any coupons for car seats. I don't know exactly what type of seat you are looking for. My DD uses the Safety First Alpha Omega and has since birth. My DS uses the Graco Nautilus.

What is the age and size of the child(ren) that needs a new seat?

If you have to give it to insurance company, you can cut the harness so it can't be used again. If your child shouldn't use, then NO child should use it. If they just want proof that you won't use the seat again, that's fine, but don't say it will be donated because that it is just dumb.
