If you're looking for something no-hassle donation is really the way to go (if you're sure you won't want them a few years down the line). I tend to be a purger but I have finally learned that I should really keep things if I'm not sure, as long as I have space and a good way to store them, because it's much better to just keep them for a while you can always get rid of them later. If you get rid of them and then 2 years later wish you had them again... well there's always garage sale shopping but that can be a lot of work and in some seasons of life I don't really have time for it.

Put them away in the attic (where the kids can't see them) and take them back out 3 or 6 months later and they are new again! :)

the more expensive, nicer stuff, i would sell on ebay or craigslist or a second hand store

the other stuff: dh has cousins that have kids and i have a sister with younger kids. they get first pick and if they dont want it, i freecycle it or goodwill depending.

you can also ask at church daycares if they want it, salvation army daycares or the smaller daycares (they may or may not take it)....also dont forget your local school where your kids go...ask the teacher in the grade below yours or at the front desk...see if they know a family that could use them.
