Send me some of those natural labor vibes. :) I have been induced three times as well (all for health reasons, I never wanted it) and am planning on it this time as well (again, health issues) but would really love to go on my own! Pitocin sucks! especially since I do not have any pain meds. Would be nice to feel a real labor with no drugs at all....

I'm a 'coward' too. I believe that if you don't need to be in pain then why feel it? LOL This is based on my mom having all her 6 kids with NO pain meds, I was 19 when the last one was born and she thought I should watch. It was a beautiful moment when she finally came out BUT up until that point, the excruciating pain she was in made up my mind that I was NOT going to have natural labor. LOL
First DD and DS were induced at 39 weeks, little DD was induced at 40 weeks. I get to about 4 cm then get the epidural and it's smooth sailing from there, about 8 hours then the baby is here!

Congratulations!!! Hope he is an easy breezy baby & hope your recovery is super smooth as well! I am with you on the whole pain meds thing, I've been lucky that both my boys came without having to be induced, in fact my 2nd son's total labor time was 1 1/2 hours!! So barely enough time to get to the hospital & barely enough time for an epidural! But my doctor knew & I insisted the whole time for the epidural, I can't imagine delivering without it!
