They don't own TVs. I think their computers are only for school so they might not have the internet.

I think it is wonderful that they can have all those children and still be debt free. Most of American can't have two kids without the debt. I know my family isn't debt free.

I just wonder when they will run out of J names.

I love John and Kate plus 8 and watch it every Monday and I am going to watch the Duggers new show!!

LOL! I saw them online on one of the hour specials, but I am sure they have approved sites they can visit. I think her next baby is due in January, and I will watch the show too. I think it is awesome they can live the life they do and with NO debt or relying on the state. It is more than I can say for myself and my 3 kids. Go Duggars!

I'm curious to know why people don't see anything wrong with families who have only a few children to get government aid, ie WIC or food stamps, but think that it's wrong for a family with many children. How many children can you have and still make it "right"? I don't think it is for any of us to judge another family. God is the highest Judge and I will answer to him before any man.

I don't think it is wrong for any family to get help/aid if they need it- that is what it is there for. I was just saying that I think it is more likely for larger families to need aid because each child is another mouth to feed, plus clothes, etc. I wasn't judging anyone, just saying that if I had 18 kids I would sure need state help, and I just commend them for sustaining their family without aid :)

I personally dont think I could handle that many kids I barely have enough time to get everything done as it is lol.

I really admire Michelle Duggar. I've never seen the show as we don't watch television, but I've read a lot about her. I think it is a true testament to the wonders of our God that she is able to care for so many children.

As for the buddy system......when I told my children about it, our oldest daughters who are 8 and nearly 7 BEGGED to do it! They wanted to help with getting the "littles" ready for bed, brush their teeth and hair, wash their faces and help them with meals. I see nothing wrong with this because they are not being forced to do so. I know that my children are happy with their childhood and we intend to keep it that way. We hold many of the same values and beliefs as the Duggar family, but not to such extreme measures I would say.

From what I have read, even other families who follow the "quiver full" movement view them as a tad extreme.

Imagine what her stomach looks like after so many children. I have had two and well lets just say things will never be the same again.

On an episode of Jon & Kate she showed her tummy and I really felt for her. I don't know that I could handle that.
