| | Re: The Duggars 17th baby is due this week!!! I don't have religious or any other kind of beliefs on the number of children people have....I think that's a personal decision that should be decided within each family. I know that for me, due to age, (I don't want to have teenagers/college kids running me into the ground when I'm ready to retire) DH and I are planning on three, with a hard max of four. I came from from a family of 7 kids, enjoyed every minute and still do...I personally feel that children from tiny family of one or two are short-changed and don't even know it. (No flames please - it's just an opinion, not a personal attack directed at anyone - trust me, I don't know you).
That said, I also VERY strongly believe that if you can't feed 'em, don't breed 'em. I respect the Duggars who appear to be financially stable and able to support their children - if they have 30 more, and can support them, fine. I'd much rather see a child born into a loving, moral and values based home of 20+ people where their needs are provided for than one born to another welfare mother bouncing her babies from boyfriend to boyfriend.

I remember reading about them several years ago after the birth of their 14th; but I'm sure I didn't read this because I would have remembered something like that. I hope you are wrong because that would be just sad.

| | Re: The Duggars 17th baby is due this week!!! I don't think this is the family. If you click on the family's website, it says the oldest daughter wants to be a midwife. I think she would have to get some college for that. This family does homeschool. Don't know but they may be able to get some college credits for appropriate homeschool courses/independent studies. |

And more and more colleges are "preffering" homeschoolers.. and offering great scholarships.. We are planning to have our kids do 2 years of community college before they are 18... that is at our cost.. anything after is thier cost, but we will hep as needed.. I dont want my kids dropping out because they were short $1000 or so KWIM Quote:

Jim Bob is a former state representative, and I seem to recall he was involved in insurance and real estate. I was absolutely amazed to find out on one of their specials that they have absolutely no debt. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
