It is really easy to confuse a boy as a girl until the boy parts are fully developed. That's around 18-20 weeks, sometimes later. Congrats to you! Hope you didn't buy too much pink stuff lol.
When I was prego with my first child it was a complicated one so I had quite a few ultra sounds. Every single time they told me it was a girl (4times, different techs). The baby room was painted pink, we bought all girl baby clothes and I spent a ridiculous amount on the rose bedding... Needless to say, when I had the child it was a BOY!!! I thought my mom was going to pass smooth out in the operating room (emergency Csection). She ran out and bought him a blue blanket and clothes to go home in. It was a mess though.
My daughter had another ultrasound this week and I couldn't even tell it was a baby much less the sex! They say it's a girl but I guess we'll know in a week or two.
With my oldest one, I didn't find out until the last ultrasound before he was born, because he always had his hands between his legs! With my second one, he was too wiggly to tell until three days before he was born. They both wore a lot of yellow and green. With number three, we knew at 12 weeks what he was. He didn't move a lot. Aren't you glad diapers are usually unisex!?!? Congratulations on your son! Got a name yet?
This is the very reason why it is a good idea to have your baby shower after you have had the baby and to buy neutral colored things in the beginning! Contests on your baby!
Glad to know now the only one! We did a private ultrasound approved by doctor for $50 last Thursday to confirm gender. The guy earned his bucks.. LOL! It took me a while to understand what the crap I was looking at and why it was a boy.
So.. T.J. it is! I did buy some pink stuff at a garage sale, but not too much. I have a girlfriend having a girl who can take it.

Oh my! Congrats on your little boy! This is why we didn't make anything "official" until we knew for sure (I had an amnio due to complications so we did know for sure that he had a Y chromosome before he was born). I prefer things that are more gender neutral anyway though so it wouldn't have made much of a difference as far as what we bought.
it hides sometimes!! even now it could still be wrong.
